  1. Try this link - I found it useful http://www.communities.gov.uk/documents/housing/pdf/138289.pdf
  2. Of course the problem with this is that only rich people can then have children. Whilst I don't see the attraction of breeding many people seem to place a lot of importance on it and I can't see it's right to go out of your way to make it hard. There was a brief golden age when both parents working actually meant you had more cash to spend, before two wages became the norm and the cost of living rose accordingly. Now both parents have to work (it's not a choice), the cost of childcare has gone through the roof since they brought in all the qulification requirements, and you end up in the position where you would be better off on benefits - the cost of childcare plus commuting eats up a couple hundred quid a week before you start.
  3. I've managed to get other cars temporarily added to my insurance for a few weeks with a couple of insurers (so my policy covered me for two cars). Worked out very reasonable. Pretty sure it worked with both Aviva and Elephant.
  4. I normally like Hondas but don't get a Jazz, absolutely vile thing to drive. I had a 54 Colt from new. Did 95k miles in it and the only work done apart from servicing was replacing back dampers just before I sold it. Do you really need 4 doors? I tend to think that most super minis tend to be designed with 3 doors in mind so the 4 door versions look odd.
  5. Don't think that if you do your CBT on a 50cc moped you are restrcited to it for the 2 years. I got my provisional bike licence in 1993 when I was 16. Did my CBT on a 50cc auto moped, was restricted to that until I was 17 with L plates. As soon as I was 17 I could have a 125cc with L plates without taking another test. Got my full licence in 1994 and had no restrictions. So basically you sjould be able to have anything up to 125cc on a provisional licence as long as you pass your CBT before driving on the road and display L plates.
  6. Try this link http://www.centenaryarchers.gil.com.au/archery_Fitness.htm Not that I know much about it but looks pretty comprehensive to me.
  7. Alternatively put them in a tupperware tub in the freezer (with some water obviously). Hypothermia isnt a bad way to go and you haven't got the mess or risk of it going wrong
  8. I've gone to the dark side, flogged the Supra and bought a Mitsi. :hide:Was planning on going to Japfest and paying on the gate. If you still have some spare, could I buy a couple of club tickets? Obviously wouldn't need a stand pass. Apologies in advance for cheekiness.
  9. Blocked by firewall thingy as porn - the work IT police are going to come and get me. Worth flagging as NWS?
  10. Just out of interest if clock says 89k and was convrted on import thats actually 67k miles surely?
  11. I've managed 22ish without running out - never been braver than that.
  12. If it hasn't changed in the last 10 years you add it to the fuel tank...
  13. Hey, someone else had a Sunny ZX Coupe. Loved that car to bits even though it constantly broke in expensive ways ( I had the fairly rare 16v twin cam 1.6 that they only made for 9 months). Four wheel drift around roundabouts - joyous. Worst was a diesel metro - absolutely hateful thing, had it for a month then part ex'd it against a Prelude which is probably all round the best car I've owned.
  14. Last time I used the AA the main hose came off the back of the engine and had dumped all the water. Called AA, told them what had happened, asked for a flatbed. Van turned up and chap came over. "It's split the main hose and dumped all the water and needs towing" says I. Chap looks in the radiator "I can see your problem" her says "you've got no water. Have you been running it hot?". "No its split the hose and it needs trailering" says I. Chap then goes to his van, gets some water and pours it in the radiator. Water starts peeing out the back of the engine. "Where's that water going?" says him. "It's peeing all over the floor" says me. Chap mooches around and gets under the car. "Its peeing all over the floor!" says him - "you've got a split hose and it'll need trailering....." I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that I'm female... Switched to RAC and never been back.
  15. Husband and i had a similar experience a few years back buying a new build house. Went to one development and without asking what we were looking at spending told us they had nothing in our price range. Went to the next one down the road that was a bit more expensive and bought one. I wear a bloody suit all week, damned if I should have to get tarted up on a weekend to be deemed worthy of a salespersons attention.

  18. I use the cages designed for transporting dogs as they're large enough for a sitting/lieing area and a litter tray. Suspend either a torch or a battery powered camping latern from the roof using string (my cats seem to travel better in the light), Bungie strap the cages to the sides of the van. Works for me..
  19. Out of interest where did you get it from? Recently sold my Silver 95 NA to a deaaler down London way
  20. Mine was converted the same way with a red bulb in one of the reversing lights and had a small round switch in the dashboard to the right and slightly down from the steering wheel witha red LED in it if that helps.
  21. I always thought it was woefully unfair that they brought in complicated legislation around bikes limiting the power for new licence holders but not on cars. At least with a bike you're only likely to kill yourself...
  22. I'd come but I've a feeling my Supra is far too tatty..is there a prize for the worst shed?
  23. Now 0.5%. Makes no difference to me, I rent.....
  24. Actually from Vine Place - (is this where I find out mines a clone......?)
