  1. I've got 2 of these if you still need one
  2. oh come on, we need some updates
  3. I'm really interested in doing a V8 swap on a rolling shell i have, i'm perfectly fine when it comes to the mechanicals but could really use some advice. I've looked all over the net and found that quite a few people have done the swap but no-one every did a detailed build thread. I'm planning on going with a later 1uz vvti and want to use a r154 gearbox as i may turbo it in the future My main questions are: With regards to mounting the r154, i've found spacers, custom bell housings, thicker flywheels ect. which is the most straight forward ? Which clutch do i use ? How does the exhaust work ? the v8 has manifolds both sides so how is it made to work on a supra ? Thanks for any help, i may have more questions as thing progress
  4. Exactly, Imho i think all classifieds should be locked after the initial add is placed and that communications should be done by pm instead of thread crapping.
  5. All i'm going by is my own experience, I've own 4 supra's all na manual. The first one i bought 6 years ago for £3000 and spent loads on it and sold it for £3200 next one i bought for £3000 kept it stock and sold it for £2800, then exactly the same on the next one but this one went to germany and then there my current one i bought from keron for £1900 In between these i had an R34 gtt bought it for £6500 four years ago sold it a year later for the same money and the new own just sold it for £10500 I also had an rx7 type r bathurst bought it for £5500 and sold it for £6500 it would now cost around 10k for the same car The 200sx i bought nearly 10 years ago cost me £2895 and this almost identical http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nissan-200sx-s14a-manual-2-0-turbo-79k-FSH-stage-2a-300bhp-rota-wheels-hsd-drift-/141401385252?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item20ec2de924 is up for £5795 Like i said...Crazy
  6. I said pretty much the same thing a while ago and i think this forum is soley to blame for prices not rising. You'd be looking at 20-25k for an r34 gtr and about 10k for a gtt or 10-11k for a silvia and £6500 for a non turbo, even ropey s14's are going for around £5500 Yet an auto na supra can be had for as little as £2000 a manual at £3000 and i've seen auto tt's as low as £4000, its crazy I don't think it's down to the "it's an old Toyota" line of thinking i think its that most people on here have had their cars on here for a few years and haven't paid attention to the rising prices and just see someone selling a car thats priced more than they paid a few years ago. All you have to do is look at the amount of supra being broken purely because they are worth more in parts than for a whole running car Its crazy and how people can actively lower prices is beyond me as surely it would be good for everyone that their cars to be worth more. It makes no sense.
  7. I agree, The top secret v12 is also my favorate
  8. I wouldn't have thought it would cause any damage if you've not used it much like it. As yours was orginally an auto it won't have had a bearing in it, when putting a new one in just find a socket that is the same size as the bearing, place it on the bearing and tap it in with a hammer 12 o'clock, 6 o'clock, 3 then 9 if you know what i mean.
  9. Like chris says the bearing presses in to the crank not the flywheel and to be honest you would probably break it trying to get it out of the donor engine Did you press a new bearing in to the crank ?
  10. ffs cancelled again i was really looking forward to this but im starting to wonder how many years im going to have to keep a supra just to be able to go to suprapod. Theres no chance im going to the chavshow
  11. Nice work, this is my next project
  12. I recently bought a cheap supra with a deceased engine, i already have an engine i took out of my old facelift Will it be a straight swap ? (NA for NA) as one thing i noticed is that the pre facelift has an oil level sensor and the facelift doesn't
  13. You could always try this place http://www.smiffiessoarersanctuary.co.uk/index.html
  14. Great project, i always wanted to do the same but it was the wiring that bothered me
  15. You'll have to replace the actual speedo aswell as the 300km gauges use different resistors so you'll need to swap out the speedo for a 180km gauge and then put your new face on it.
  16. 1 member entry 2 non member entry
  17. Whats great and shows the build quality of supra is that i have 2 supras, one with 205,000 kms and one with 42,000 miles and they both drive exactly the same
  18. where abouts are you located ?
  19. nice job, best colour too
  20. Omg i've just seen this, i can't believe craigs gone R.I.P buddy
