Yeah I can't see it doing any harm so I think i'll put one in. Luckily for me I have access to a TIG welder in work so it's not a big problem for me to do it.

Just paid £50 for a set of six mate, might need some tips on how to go about the restrictor though:)
  4. Can anyone tell me if the crank, power steering, water pump and alternator pulleys are the same for a non VVTI and a VVTI. Thanks
  5. Hi mate, I realise from your other post your busy at the moment but is there any news on the BOV as if it's not what I want I'll buy another one so I can continue with my build. Thanks

I'm thinking of fitting one of these into my down pipe as I'm using cheap ebay stuff to try and eleviate any stress from the exhaust into the manifold. Anyone got any opinions, my view is it can't do any harm but thought I'd ask incase I'm wrong:D
  7. Hoping it all goes well for you mate, the list is handy for me as I've missed a few bits;) so thanks for that:innocent:

Ain't that the truth:D Yes I'm leaving all that alone for now, I was just going to try and get it running nice on low boost and then MAYBE try for higher boost at a later date. It sounds silly I suppose but big power isn't the main goal, just hopefully a reliable car with a bit of go but we'll see;)
  10. I'm not sure if I'm measuring the right bit but if I am the internal is 32mm. If it's not let me know and I'll measure another bit:)

Thanks for pointing that out mate, your bang on theres a steering rack bolt in the way, I've ordered a 45º one now:thumbs: Appreciate that, it's saved me having to wait for one now when I get around to dropping it in.

Thanks mate. Thanks Steve, I'm trying my best;) Started my oil feed at the filter end tonight. This is the bolt drilled And with the nut ready to TIG welded on tomorrow in work So it should look like this tomorrow night then I can connect my oil line up fully.

Haha OK fair enough, The Toyota 3000 sticker is on my toolbox as it's all marked and faded etc so thats not going back on. I'd prefer the logo than nothing so thats staying until I find something better Thanks for the input though:thumbs:
  16. Hi mate, I'm interested in your Precision wastegate if you still have it. Do you know which springs you have with it, and do you have all the fittings etc? Oh and your inbox is full;)

I think it's the positioning that the boostlogic manifold places the turbo mate. Yes I did use high temp paint for the cam covers, it's the BBQ type paint you get from B&Q or similar so I would imagine it'll take the temps. The gun metal is only normal paint. I'm hoping it will not melt but only time will tell;)

My oil line parts arrived a few days ago so I've been working on my lines:D I haven't done the feed from the oil filter housing yet but the rest are now sorted. As i'm pretty tight for space in a few areas I had to make a few alterations to my first ideas and flanges:oo Oil return pipe I've ordered a couple of nice little anodised clamps to hold the pipe in position across the top of the cam cover. This is my main area of concern, as you can see it's pretty close to the manifold. At the tightest point theres about a 25mm gap but if I'd got a 90º fitting it would hit the turbo flange and make the silicone pipe and clamp on the compressor housing very tight if not touching. Thats a 45º fitting and I've welded the thread on the bracket at an angle both ways to make it sit at that position. I think thats as good as it's going to get:(
