  1. Hey guys, sorry to bring back a really old thread here - messaged Lui about this and he suggested I ask you guys. My car sat for about 1 1/2 weeks in extremely cold temperatures (was in the garage, but non heated), where things dipped down to -57 at one point. After a very rough start, car put out blueish smoke for about 10 seconds, then started with the really white stuff it usually puts out in the cold temperatures. Let it run for 10 minutes, came back out to look at it, it was purring and running normal fumes. Shut it off, turned it back on two minutes later (had someone do this so I could watch the back), and it went straight to normal fumes. I poked around the inside of the muffler with my finger, took some scrapping but I collected some black stuff, looked like oil but very watery, no smell of oil on it though. Put my flat palm against the tip, left a faint black circle, but did not smell of oil either. Same thing I imagine- the valves? Nothing to be worried about though? It's a 93 jspect auto tt by the way. Thanks guys.
  2. I was comparing the UK prices to the prices we pay up here in Canada. I payed about 6.5k pounds for my 93 jspect TT auto, and that's a great deal by Canadian standards (since most TTs start at about 12k pounds, but it being auto nearly halved the price). A US one I hear is definitely what most North American drivers prefer. I was silly enough to import the J-spec into Saskatchewan, so I'm pretty much waiting for the ceramics to crack (gives me a good reason to put in a single though!) Check out the Canadian section of supraforums.com, they have some people there who an hook you up with US cars.
  3. Tokyo here as well, owned by Shinji... Or an Akira... One of the famous anime names anyway
  4. Really nice car there dude. I love the rims.
  5. Thanks guys, and I managed to join the supra forums so I'll see what they have to say. Also, that makes a lot of sense bbt!
  6. Hey guys, wanted some quick input from you if possible. In normal city driving, my JSPECT auto TT sits at around 2800rpm in second gear, at around 55kmph. However, most of the roads I hang out on are 60kmph limits, so the supra hesitates shifting into 3rd for 10-15 seconds at a time, unless a more significant amount of gas is added. If you keep it at the same accel, the shift is pretty rough, and then it begins to pick up speed again. Could it be the cold? Could it be perfectly normal? Thanks.

    Hi

That guide is amazing. Time to take some meows out (and it's nice to hear that the American Supras don't have much on my Jspec bhp).
  8. No man can sport facial hair as well as Mario.
  9. Haha, too awesome. I love the photoshop.
  10. Maybe they did... I should get in contact with Valve and see if they'll give me some royalties
  11. I'm fortunate to live in a pretty dry climate. A few thousand kilometers to the east, in Quebec, they get some really nasty ice-storms, up to half a foot of ice on places. I also keep the Supra in a garage, which keeps most of the ice off of it. However, around the back end of the supra I get a really dense ice that builds up on the paint from the exhaust - this usually doesn't thaw until the spring. It's never much, but it makes the paint appear dull.
  12. Haha, I wish I had the ability to grow that monster. The George Michael is a tough look! Halfway between shaving and not shaving, eh? I sport a goatee or beard usually. One Haloween I dressed up as Gordon Freeman from Half Life - here I am playing beer pong with Fabio.

  14. Facial hair has definitely fallen out of style lately. Still, some are brave enough to grow stuff like this. If you know of some awesome facial hair out there, or are sporting it yourself, this is the time to show it off.
  15. Thanks a lot Tom! Wow, they look brand new after the spit and shine there. I might have problems pulling it off on my right headlight though, it has an end to end crack about 5 cm long. I don't think it will give me too much grief though. And thanks for the welcome all! Andrew - I definitely will look into painting over the walnut dash, even though I know we both love it ;P
  16. It's a faux wood finish. It looks a lot better (and darker) in person. Also forgot to mention car came factory wingless.
  17. Living in a place with snow 6-7 months of the year, it's definitely other people's driving habits.
  18. Hey there, I'm a big fan of black rims on gold cars. I also don't like 5 point rims (and cringe as I realize I have 5 point rims). The 7 point rims (last on the list) look nice, as well as the split spoke wheels.
  19. Sorry for being rude and not mentioning my name. Damian's the name!
  20. Hey Chris, fellow Canuck here. If you don't mind me asking, what part of Canada are you from?
  21. Hello all, I'm a new proud owner of a JDM MKIV TT 4 speed auto. Bought it minty fresh from a buddy importer. Only 93k on it, no mods, and purring well. Let's hope it survives a Saskatchewan winter of -45 degree Celcius weather! I'm also a big n00b when it comes to Supras unfortunately, but I love mine to death and will take good care of it. Hope to get to know you guys better! I hope these pictures work! Were not taken by me, but by Evan, who imported it (if I took pictures now, it would just be the Supra huddled in the garage). I do winter drive it, to stretch it's legs, so it is running snow tires right now (and somewhat dangerous spacers to fit the front steelie rims on). Hope my tires don't fall off if I hit a pot hole! Eitherway, sorry for the long intro. See you guys around.
