  1. Beatiful colour on the car - love that shade of red with the black hood and spoiler
  2. Makes sense, so around 475 BHP then? Thanks Nigel!
  3. How exactly do the hood protectors fit on? Anyone happen to have a close up, or a picture of a bonnet's underside?
  4. I just bought a new hoodscoop (still in box) from a Supra owner in Canada. I thought I would include pictures of all the parts I received incase it helps anyone (the part numbers match up to Kev.O's post): Pic 1 : Hood protector Pic 2 : Hood air guide Pic 3 : Hood bulge plate Pic 4 : 2 Retainers Pic 5 : Hood bulge Not pictured : 4 nuts and 8 screws.
  5. From what I understand of the term BHP, I'm aiming for about 520 BHP or 400 wheel HP. Correct me if I'm wrong though. As far as hybrid twins/Billet turbos go, I wanted (a) brand new turbo/s, and something this shop was comfortable installing - which fell on the t04z. Good shops are hard to come by where I live, so I try to suit my upgrades with what this shop is known for.
  6. Did 4 consecutive 1/4 mile runs in my 93 JSpec TT Auto, turbo noise changed. Reg Reimer & Team at RCTS in Calgary diagnosed it and took some pretty pictures for me! Reg thinks someone fed me a rock while the car was sitting around with its hood up. 1st picture: Don't mind the bugs on the bumper, spent 800km on the Highway to get it to RCTS. 2nd and 3rd pictures: 4th picture: Similar to what should be going in. I've decided to go single HKS turbo (T04Z), brand new, with HKS Vpro and AFK. Lucky enough that the only shop in Canada who is HKS pro certified is Reg's. Along with a new rad, timing belt, water pump, brakes, HKS Titanium racing exhaust, TRD 320km/h speedo, and a SLD, it's going to be a very expensive upgrade. We'll see how the car handles after all this though. Plan is to run the t04z 10psi, producing about 400 wheel hp, enough so that I can run stock intercooler, injectors, and auto transmission. Any tips/comments on the build?
  7. My old man used to be a taxi driver - mostly Crown Victorias, which are sold at police auctions after 4 years of police service. His 1993 went to 1.2mil kilometers on the original engine (stopped counting on the odometer after 999k, rest was tracked with gas fill ups)
  8. He used to be a regular on the Man Show, before Jimmy Kimmel got too big for it
  9. Hey Claire, I'd go with gold/yellow to offset/bring out the wheels I'm actually in the same dilemma - but it's always easier to make the decision for someone else, eh? ;P What color would you go on on a silver supra with chrome wheels? I was thinking blue... (sorry for thread hijackery ;P)
  10. Keron, does extreme performance stock glass headlights, and do tyou ship overseas?
  11. If fizzle does not decide to go with them, I'd be interested.
  12. I'm also looking for clear/glass lenses.... Instead of bumping my own thread, I thought I'd just bump yours
  13. Would pay for shipping to Canada. New/Like new preferred! Also, I've heard I'd need 9006 lower beam bulbs if swapping from J-spec headlights - this true? If so, I'd be willing to buy these as well. Thanks guys.
  14. Very nice car If you're ever in Saskatoon, send me a PM - we have a few Supras in town
  15. I'm using the Compustar 2W8000FMS. It's a car alarm, auto start and turbo timer all in one. Range of 5000', two way with digital display remote. Love it so far
  16. 'Baby' or 'asshole' depending on the mood I'm in. The gf refers to it as the 'boy car'
  17. Amen. And the transition into third isn't always smooth if the car is not warmed up.
  18. Whooo! Thanks for another awesome glossary I was wracking my head at what that rattling black box could be. I'll just let it keep on ticking.
  19. My girlfriend Natalie is coming back to our province for 4 months and 3 weeks, and would rather not make the 3200 kilometer drive back. She's leaving her 2001 Civic sitting in a watched parking lot for that time. Just looking for some quick tips as to what she would need to do (gas tank supplements/disconnect and store the battery/ etc) Any help is appreciated - thanks guys.
