Sure its the shocks and not the bushes in the arms?

Do the check to see if the engine is rocking fella, possible that its a shaft problem. Can not really say without seeing it but lowered polos do like to kill the power shaft which is the drivers side.

Depends on what it is really, if its the mount I have when they fail they tend to snap the gear linkage cables when they go lol, If the drivers side goes the engine drops down and hits the deck, same for the passenger side mount, so not ideal to drive like this. If its top mount it will clonk and rattle but can be driven on carefully. If its lower arm it will be the bushes or ball joint gone once again not ideal fella. If its wheel bearing not a good idea to drive on. Best bet is to leave it till light and have a look tbh.

sounds like your engine mounts shot fella, either the gearbox one under the car or on drivers side they are week as hell, pop your bonnet and see if you can rock the engine with your hands.

Its a test done on the coolant system to see if there is any co/co2 in the system, great way of checking for a gasket problem.

when are you getting the noise the most fella. is it a constant noise or when hitting bumps, or just when starting off and changing gears and breaking, and one last thing is it when turning. Common things with polo's when lowering them in the lower arms wearing, top mounts wearing and wheel bearings. Plus the engine and box mounts are crap lol.

Also if you are that paranoid get a sniff test done on the coolant system.

check oil level in the box, in cold weather boxes do get clunky but soon clears when warm. also you can get condensation on the back of oil cap with this weather

Septic whats your gear stick doing as it sounds like your engine mount has gone if its only when accelerating and decelerating.

Gutting fella, I just got in from tesco and have my reciept by the side of me. All i need to do is pop into the store at 12 and walk out with my new cause of insomnia lol

Well tesco around here are flapping at the amount of stock they have, and refuse to hold them lol, asda i'm on hold with , will be trying blockbusters now. Bonus for me is asda and tesco are around a 4min trip from me and both 24hour. Tesco are selling from midnight and if you go in store and put a £5 deposit down it will secure you a copy of the game for 12am.
