Pete. Simple answer is that we both love supras and helping people out. I am an autolec and mechanic and was head guy at the last garage where we looked after every day cars up to super cars and competition cars. I miss working on cars so if Craig gives me a ring saying someone needs something done we simply take the job on at his work shop

    Damon part2

Well once again Damon brought the supra over for some more work. It started off with me fitting new seals to his recently powder coated calipers. Nice easy job as usual, got them all done and then attempted to fit the bleed nipples. The friendly powder coater decided to fill the threads up with a pretty red finish Then I noticed the end of the road, on both calipers it looked like paint runs but its powder coat , no it was not runs but cracks that had been coated. The kind person had split them when taking them apart . Luckily we had three calipers for the front so one old was used and one new. While I was doing this Craig cracked on with fitting a straight through exhaust. Plain sailing for craig. While stripping the old calipers off the car Craig called me to take a look at what he found. A genuine bodge of a job that seriously takes the piss when it comes to brakes. Some one had drilled the hole out larger on the caliper slide where the caliper attaches and hammered a 13mm nut into the void and used a cheap arse bolt that was even the wrong thread to hold the caliper on. While craig was fitting the calipers, I cracked on with fitting a new drivers side belt as the original was not retracting. Easy job you say, Think again when the drivers seat does not tilt or recline . So belt now fitted I decide to take the seat aprt an take a look at whats wrong. The electrics were fine just seemed like the seat was jamed. Now the fun part Once the covers were off, I started to laugh in shock at what confronted me. The seat mechanism had been welded in two separate places and there for rendering the seat unmovable. At the end of the job once complete Damon is a happy guy, I just received a text from him saying he can not get the grin off his face with how happy he is with the car again. Next saturday he is coming back over the water to have some lexus brakes fitted up front and new audio fitted to the car. Then later on the supra is going to be treated to a full service. Glad you are happy with the work and car fella. SOrry about the picture quality as it was an I phone and bloody freezing so not a still shot.
  3. Is this the so called single veilside supra that was up for 30 k before
  4. As above if it stalls its good for a while, I got a full clutch kit for £145, which included the hydraulic thrust bearing thingy majiggy lol. Simple to fit aswell mate.
  5. Just had to do one on sams car mate. High bite point and it was starting to jump out of gear where it was not engaging fully. They have a hydraulic clutch on them. Sam's is a mk1 on a 98 with the 1.8 zetec in it, same as the escort really. If its the mk2 focus that means indicators in the headlights it will have a dual mass flywheel and they are a nightmare and a fortune to buy the clutch kit.
  6. NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! he has not sold it has he, hang on did you buy it?
  7. Lol, I can not wait master. I think Raven has volunteered him self as a test subject too! To lube or not to lube that is the question???
  8. Ed I think the bonnet is used as in the following statement. Drive down road to find victim, then pull lever to deploy snatching system. Once released scoop up unsuspecting victim and drive off to secluded area. Rush round front of vehicle, and ask them if the cloth in your hand smells of chloroform. Once out cold, use boot release situated down the side of the drivers seat to open the boot and dump bound and gag victim into the rear of the vehicle. Now you have them, proceed to sex dungeon situated next to Chinook landing zone. Come to think of it did you write this ????
  9. So then Ed any new years finds in the supra. New year new story. I hear that there is a way to open the bonnet lol. How you doing fella?
  10. here is watsons site http://www.watsonsrally.co.uk/
  11. Here is the link they are gods with minis, and cheap to do the work as well you can get the kit to do it your self aswell. Looks like they are doing it with out adding the extra length as well now. http://www.hybrid-mini.co.uk/vtec/watsons.htm
  12. Contact watson racing they specialize in fitting the 2.2 and 2.3 lumps out of preludes in. This does mean extending the front by 9cm but its a drive in drive out service.
  13. Had one on mine, was good enough, but known of a few people to order them and they have been pathetic. Its a risk to take when buying one. Iirc they are all imported from china, where as if you get one off paul you will get a lot better service.
  14. Get in contact with keron and see if he has any in mate.
  15. Rob I think he likes you for some odd reason lol
