  1. Thats great he can come over and hae the other work done and these fitted at the same time.
  2. I always thought it was up to the owner to involve the insurance if it was no other vehicle involved or if both parties agreed to deal with out insurance. Was the recovery truck called by the insurance? If not just pay the recovery fee and storage and take it home and repair it mate, have a look how bad it is when stripped down and go from there.
  3. Do you need to go through insurance?

  6. What a dick! I bet he sleeps with his sister has a daughter with his daughter loves his guns and does not class anything under a 4l v8 as a car.
  7. Thats correct but, the sensor will have a resistance no matter what. If the resistance is not as specified by manufacturer its a good chance it is shafted. The only figure I have found so far is 560-680 ohm. Can some one confirm if this is correct, as the one in question is reading 0.33 ohms which I think is the main problem but need something to compare to. Thanks Gareth
  8. If you can find someone selling one buy it, other than that get yours polished.

  17. This is an odd one. The speedo read in mph before the problem. The speedo has dropped out and odo not counting up. The car has no converter fitted on it any where that I can see. The car is a jspec so obviously there should be one some where. Places I have searched so far are , inside dash, centre console, with ecus's, under with the box. All the wiring is untouched, as in not spliced into any where. I have tried another set of clocks in the car and still nothing. Continuity has been checked along the wires and is fine. All the wiring in intact, I have removed the sensor and checked resistance across it and it read 0.33 ohms. Does anyone know if this reading is correct or is it a case of the sensor breaking down and not giving out a signal. Thanks Gareth
  18. Thought my ears were burning Jon. Something can be arranged easily, will have a look for a suitable date and open a thread in this section once its all decided.

  21. You would not believe how bad old fuel is for a car mate. A good flush through with some fresh petrol and you will see an improvement. When was the last time the plugs were changed before it was parked up.
