  1. not really as they are known for the wrasp lol, Easiest way to tell if your cats die is either put it up on a ramp and hit it with palm of your hand and listen for loose bits or the more technical get an emission test on it and another thing with them is the exhaust rot to hell and back on flange welds and around the silencer
  2. Honestly vauxhall is who I always use, and your engines timing for fuel and ignition is done by the cam and crank sensor and the knocks for adjustment. If you can get the resistance of both these sensors checked as if the crank sensors dieing it will bring up the knock sensor as a fault also the engine will still run if this is the case as it will run off the cam sensor they fairly similar in there jobs they are both magnetic pick up sensors. Coils are also problematic on the redtop and also the tensioner on the timing belt likes to slacken itself
  3. Speaking with experience of this fault make sure you were supplied with the correct sensor and not the newer version as this is often the case with parts suppliers and make sure you do not over tighten it as its meant to be a certain torque setting cant really remember but don't hold me to it 20nm. also check the plug on the loom as a common problem is water damage from the coolant hose Y shaped i think.
  4. She aint lowered yet and theres no fowling of the wheel that i can see, as theres no marking on the tyre wall
  5. No iv checked that, also forgot to say I have vibration that's giving my right foot one hell of a massage, but the cars running true and there's no shaking through the steering
  6. In need of some help with a noise thats just started on the mkiv. Easiest way to explain it is that its a clicking sound that sounds like when you twist a pill bottle round all the time. It happens when travelling over a rough road or hit a bump in the road. It happens the worst when I have left hand down but not on full lock. If some one can shed some light on this you would be a life saver, literally.

Lunch time meet sounds good and from the images on the link its a nice area to the right of the pub where we could get a nice group photo done of everyone who turns up and to be honest the 18th is a nicer sounding date as it gives me a bit longer to find out who will actually come along and a few members said that their cars aint on the road yet so this would give them a chance to get them sorted
  10. So i guess if the copper does not like you your screwed either way then as they could be gentle or have a lead foot, and seeing as all the coppers round my area drool when they see something like a supra as they are all kindergarten cops with plastic badges, I can see them putting the pedal through the floor, which aint good as i get a nice blue tail out of my exhaust at high revs
  11. So this test is it done stationary or on a drive by. As if its a drive by I see a very big flaw in their test, as i cant see many people coming back to get their ticket lol, and then you could always go live in a tent so you don't have a fixed address, but if it is stationary i'm going to be getting lots of pretty looking slips.

Right then just checked out the rotostock events web site and see its a 1 day event, if anyone else is going to this event would they be interested on the run if it was on the 12th , or if there are no events on the following Saturday the 18th. If there is a good turn out of owners who still prefer the 11th then this date could stick.

Off the top of my head how does the 11th of july sound to everyone who is already on the list. Gives a chance to arrange everything and make sure everyone knows what is going on.
  15. it looks crap they've destroyed the image of the supra, being in this present time it'll probably end up running on a load of AAA batteries and go no faster than a walking pace

Brecon run sounds a good idea, I'v started a list to show interest from down this way. If you want to let people know about it up your way, that will be great
