same here, never failed touch wood and its great scaring the mrs when it self arms and shes sat in the car haha -

make sure you get an alarm with ultrasonics, the main reason for this is if it does not have it then they can smash your window and the alarm wont go off unless they open the door and the door pin switch operates. -
it was going to be converted to 4wd mate, not that bad of a job either, the 4g3 engine drops in on the same mounts the trans tunnel is the right size and position for the shaft, the only part thats a pain is the rear end, but then thats just cutting out the diff mount and floor of the evo and welding it into the colt. The front suspension off the evo fits straight onto the colt the rear needs a bit more work though, Was going to build a evo colt myself but then thought the supra would like the cash instead lol.

All i can say is hopefully no one will have to experience a situation like this, this was just a hot debate and a laugh in the end of the day, and an enjoyable read lol

so by saying this does this apply to me for sharing my experience then, or is it different as like yourself we were unlucky enough to confront an intruder, as for all you know these people could actually do what they said they would do and quite possible we could be discussing them one day.

its easy to say people are keyboard warriors, but it depends on what type of person it is. If you have someone who scares easy they will tend to avoid conflict but if you have some one who is strong minded and protective they will act out in a way that they see is suitable for themselves. When it happened to me i grabbed a bat to scare them off but when they saw i had a bat they came at me with a long screw driver and im sorry but what would you have done in my position let them stab you or defend yourself.

dont send him any info on your car, as like said above they could easily clone your car, the usual trick is asking for that info as they need a part but they cant use their info as the dealer wont accept it.

by all accounts you can use reasonable force so if they come at you with a bat you can protect yourself with one as i was told by a copper the other night, so i would beat f**k into them and then put a bat in each of their hands lol
