  1. Stickers were being removed, spoiler gone, rear lights removed, rear bumper removed, osr and nsr wide arch removed. Found in a garage in reading by themes valley.
  2. The car was in their paddock, all the drivers were in vip, security was watching the cars. It was next to their s15. Steve thought it had been moved in the arena when they came out but then realised it was gone. The car only has a 20l tank, and to start it they had to pop the bonnet and re connect the battery as it was disconnected, then prime the system and start it. They were doing a drift demo for the pvs show. The latest reports of it in MK are in an area with a lot of high speed bumps by all accounts. There is a reward for the return of the vehicle.
  3. Not to sure, i should think it would be covered. But then its a track car and not to sure how insurance works with them tbh.
  4. 10k and the rest, not a good time for steve. The car was amazing, I say its been joy ridden but then with the guard going on break then it going points to something more than that.
  5. Someone tried saying they saw it on face book in a petrol station, that has now been proven to be some twat making crap up. Hopefully they find it soon as if its not seen by the morning they aint going to find it in one piece.
  6. Car has a small tank and was low on fuel so wouldn't get far, its sad to say but it sounds like it went straight into a trailor, its just sad that people are now going to start saying they have seen it when they have not, just to try and be a part of it all
  7. Thy were only there putting on a show for the vauxhall lot. Theresa few members out searching right now for it around the mk area. Supposed to been seen in a garage earlier on.
  8. By all accounts it was parked opposite open gates and the secutity guard went on break, Not sure if keys were needed or if the car is just switch stared tbh.
  9. Also still no news on any sightings, has been a report of a burnt out vehicle in the area but has been confirmed not to be the impreza
  10. By al accounts someone jumped in it off the stand and just drove it out from a shitty vauxhall show. Santa pod security just let it drive out.
  11. Was a simple fix to be fair, a calm head and new day sorted it in the end
  12. could pop down to see you mate for a catch up as im picking sam up from work at 8
  13. Just what I was going to say
  14. If you know what your doing and handy with tools, and willing to put in the hours then yes, but seeing as you are use to s bodies and not mkivs then I would say you may need to take a few more days to make sure you have done it correctly and of course safely.
  15. My guess would be with the west midland members mate.
  16. Plus all you need to do is mount it with 2 right angle brackets once you have the holes filled in.
  17. Get a 3/4 size plate fitted on the front mate. Never had a problem with the police with mine.
  18. Skirts are screwed on at front and rear then 10mm nuts/bolts along the sill at the bottom so are secure. The spats are normally fitted the same as oem so screws and a 10mm bolt at the bottom with a bracket going to the car. Front bumper is held at the sides along the top and all around the bottom. If the kit is fitted correctly it will not work loose and fall off.
  19. Good to hear it mate, will be good to finally see it in the flesh.
  20. As above or possibly the anti sequel plate on the rear of the pad has slipped and running on the bell (centre ) of the disc, I have had a few cars with this.
  21. In the end of the day do you want a car as a status or as something you will enjoy to drive. A supra imho is a drivers car, I have seen alot of people buy them and then sell due to not being able to live with it. Yes fuel will be steep and parts expensive but then so is a women. If you want a car that you can get in and have a smile put on your face as the door shuts and engine starts then a supra is the car to do it. Many of the owners will agree with that statement, and this is the reason you see members who have owned their mkiv for 5 years or more. If you are worried about resale value, that's a problem you can only decide on. My advice would be to find a local member to you and ask if they can take you out in one so you can experience it yourself. In the 1st post you say that you have never driven one. Have you been a passenger?, as it would be stupid to commit to buying one with no experience of one.
  22. TBH, if you are worried about running costs and maintaining it, think long and hard. The mkiv was a high end car and still is. This is reflected in the cost of parts. Fuel wise its a 3.0l TT engine so it was never going to be great on fuel compared to other models. As for getting old, yes they are but what you need to think about is that these were not cars just chucked together, in some ways they are over engineered and this is a bonus. The build quality is spot on, if you get a mkiv that has been well maintained then you should be ok.
