warranties are given on units not contract of purchase, as soon as a new unit s introduced they have to give a new warranty alot of people get caught out by this.

Phone the store you had it from as my ps3 went faulty before and I had it changed over on similar dates, due to the fact that its the actual console that has a 12 month warranty. I argued the point that it was a different unit and they agreed and also sent out a written letter saying that when I received my new console that that came with a 12 month warranty.

lol, how about using a usb to rca like you get with a digital camera.

Has your tv got a vga connector. Its the same as a pc monitor lead. This is what I use to connect to my plasma.

I have a 42" panasonic mate, the picture is crystal clear and the only set I trust as I have never had to repair them apart from some fool putting their fist through a screen. Im sure there are some sonics in your price range mate.

Check to see if the multi plug for the switch is behind the dash and if there is a plug behind the door card. You may be lucky and have it there ready to connect up.
