This comes off easily.

was the trucks from the same company if so they tend to race also if the truck in front was fully loaded and the second not he would try to pass . Also rival firms tend to race.

Not trying to upset people here but thats a load of crap. I drive hgv's and if a car was infront like that you would see it plain as day. Also the noise would be unbelievable. Due to the position you sit at when driving there is no way in hell that the driver would not have known, I agree with matt on this and say its a viral. With the accidents of late involving hgv the driver would be hung drawn and quartered for this.
