  1. Here you go people....my new baby!!! and for good luck, here is my old 944, and present XJS....
  2. Can someone tell me how I link the photos from Photobucket to the forum? ......pls
  3. Ok, I have the photos o PhotoBucket....whats next?.....sorry to sound like a muppet!, but can you give me step by step instructions...??
  4. Hi all....yesterday, I took delivery of m 1st ever Supra!....1993. black ...n/a....auto.....9 owners.....101000m.....11 months MOT..18'' alloys...Cat 1 alarm and immobiliser....CD player...all for the princely sum of £1500....not bad, me thinks?.. I am trying to upload some pics....having a bit of difficulty....do i use the 'image' link or do I 'add and attatchment'...? Also....when I got it yesterday, took it for a quick blast down the dual carriageway........I felt that the steering was twitchy through fast bends.....not as composed as my old 944.....Is that how they are?..... And today, when I jumped into move it on my drive, there was rather loud 'clunking' from the gearbox when going from say 'reverse' to 'drive'.....and when put in 'reverse' the car started to beep!!....and still does....whats that about?.... However, overall, I think its a stunning machine......looks the absolute bollox, makes you feel as if you are piloting a fighter jet......tremendous value for money...very sexy car....I like.....
  5. Cheers....now I can get on with breaking it and making some extra cash to spend on my Supra!!!....
  6. Hi all.....I have a complete Mitsi GTO twin turbo, 6 speed, at my disposal....it needs a bottom end rebuild.....i was wondering if the gearbox could be used in a Supra?....
  7. Hi all....I cant wait for tomorow....my Supra is coming home!!!.....I will take some pics for all to see... Thanks all for the advice.....I plan to keep the car basically standard ( perhaps a performance air filter/quality plugs and leads etc).(i believe it has a sports exhaust of some sort already).... .give it a good service.....maybe upgrade brake pads..and I think I want to strip it out somewhat, going for the 'less is more' approach!...better power/weight ratio.... .quick question: if i want to replace the front seats with light weight race/bucket seats, what should I go for?....nothing to expensive....what are comfortable and offer a reasonable weight saving?.....and what is the best engine oil to use?... Supravirgin (but only just!!!)
  8. Ok, cheers Wez, that is what I will do....watch this space! .... SupraVirgin (but not for much longer!)
  9. Hi everyone, thanks for all the advice....it looks like a unanimous answer......so, I will leave the n/a as it is, enjoy for a while....then sell it and buy a twin turbo...or, find a tt engine, and stick it in.....is it best to go for a factory tt?....so that the brakes/gearing etc are already set up?...
  10. Hi, any and everyone, I am about to go and collect my first ever MK4 Supra ( yipee!)....... Its a 1993 n/a auto, in black........ Anyway, I want to know what can be done to get more power............ Before any one says 'go and buy a twin turbo', i actually prefer a n/a engine................. but having said that, i have never driven a tt supra, so perhaps there isnt much lag?...................... but if there is, then i reckon my idea of a more powerful n/a engine would make for , what i consider to be, a more satisfying overall driving experience, better balanced throttle response etc. so does anyone know what the max power or torque is that can be extracted from a n/a engine?......i was thinking that 280-300bhp would be more than enough......but how to get there?....ported head and inlet manifold?..higher compression ratio?....highlift cams?.....exhaust?...air intake?...re-map? any ideas ??? Supravirgin ( about to break his cherry!!!)
  11. Hi, IMHO, I would go with either the factory item, or a proper Veilside one.
  12. Well, I have provisionally flogged my XJS Cabriolet so that I can buy a Supra, and im half thinking about getting rid of my 944 aswell, so I have a slightly bigger budget and a bit more parking space. I do like the sound of the car, and if my Jag definately goes I will probably make a trip down there with cash in my hand. But, I am not going to get over excited and buy it because its a late car etc. I want a decent one, and I will wait till I find one.
  13. Hi, yes, thats the one. I did call him, said he was selling for a 'friend' and that there were a few paintwork issues. He did seem like a nice chap though. If it has been 'dinged' at the front, I guess there would be some sign of repair? Something to give it away? It does seem appealing to have a later car, but I dont like the chunky indicaters, or the rear lights, the surround is a little darker than the earlier cars. But I guess the old lights would just slot straight in?
  14. Hi, thats an intelligent observation! I like it
