  1. Ah thanks Andrew. Yeah, I'm chuffed to bits with it so far. The soundtrack is flippin' glorious. It's a credit to its previous owner, I just tarted it up a bit!
  2. How about now mate? I hear what you're saying about those jobs, and they're even more critical on an SV with my weight. But I'll only be legal to ride come Saturday and I have the insurance commencing Friday morning so I didn't want to waste the rest of the long weekend spannering when I could be getting out! Thanks J. I should've done it bloody years ago.
  3. As it sits as of today. I've a few more bits to do, namely a front and rear suspension upgrade, new spring/valve emulators for the front and a 2015 ZX14R rear shock. New bars, mirrors, air-horn, brake lines and mudguard extension to fit as well once I've the front pulled to pieces. I've everything sitting here on the floor in the office, but I'll ride it as it is over the weekend, just to get an idea of how the new suspension compares once fitted.
  4. Accusump, oil cooler and extra caster/camber bushes sold.
  5. For a second there I forgot you were mental!
  6. Ah yeah, I know. I do warm the oil up prior to draining, but I'd also drain the oil first with the jeep jacked up on one side and then leave it draining like that while I carry on with the rest of the service. When I use that method the engine then takes exactly 7.5 litres to refill so I can just put that quantity in with no doubts or measuring and I get away with only buying a single 5 litre can of oil every second service.
  7. Depending on sump plug location, I recall that it's pretty low down on the 2JZ sump, you may not get as much of the old oil out with the suction method as you would using the usual method. You can increase the amount of oil you do extract by simply getting the dipstick tube into as low a position as possible by having the car on an incline or something. I'd nearly be as well off just using the suction method on my own Navara, the sump drain is set so high up that, unless I jack the whole left side of the jeep off the ground, there's probably still half a litre of old oil left in the engine when it stops draining. Stoopid design. And you should see where Nissan stuck the oil filter on that engine!
  8. That found a use in a crusty old forklift Chris. Hate mail to the usual address please!
  9. It's listed in the first post. £2,700 plus shipping. Which someone paid. Before Christmas.
  10. Hey mate. I did look for you this morning but I don't (seem to) have the module. Thinking back on it, if the module was either blue or red I might have moved it on in the very early days of the project. Apologies for the wild goose chase.
  11. That's a credit to you Tricky and no doubt you'll iron out the last few issues in no time. I'm sure the BFG would approve.
  12. I haven't actually checked yet Tariq. But I'll check my spares tomorrow and get back to you mate.
  13. It's the same excuse that lunatics claiming to represent all religions hide behind. Take the relevant "good" book, which was only ever intended to improve society. Then twist, warp and generally p1ssed all over anything that facilitates your need to hate, punish and kill anything and anyone that doesn't fit your interpretation of a worthy person. It's pathetic and it's easy to see that this mindset needs to be erased from modern society. It's the how that we will struggle with for years to come.
  14. Yeah, it's just the Vatican we need to oust at this stage. Everything and everyone else would be pretty welcome. Except for the Dutch.
  15. The Romans never came to Ireland. Catholicism was brought to Ireland by what was long claimed to be a Welsh man, but he may have been Scottish. We had a bit of a party there for him on Friday.
  16. And that's how long Republicans have been fighting English rule mate.
  17. Easy. GTFO Same option the Irish were given during the occupation of our land. Our Land. Then, when we didn't leave, a 5 year famine was engineered out of a single crop's failure to cull the masses, all while native beef & wheat left our shores by the ship-load, effectively halving the population. The troubles didn't start in the 1960's. The period of unrest at that time and for the next two decades was given the title "The Troubles". The Bloody Sunday of that decade wasn't even the first bloody Sunday we were treated to by British forces. What do you call a group of men shooting indiscriminately into a crowd of people watching a football match in 1920, killing fourteen and wounding over sixty? Same thing you'd call them today. Now, that's a very simple and biased answer, to a question that cannot be answered. @ Al, where do you think the religious divide comes from and what would you have done as a young second class citizen in 1960s Derry? **Certain professions are not open to you due to your religion and partition has economically crippled the city, cutting it off from it's natural hinterland despite being only 3 miles from the border. Entering politics is not really possible either, you can't vote because you don't have a house and you can't get a house because you're a Taig (catholic). Even if you could vote the electoral boundaries in your predominantly nationalist city are rigged in such a way that a unionist minority holds control. You can't express your chosen identity as an Irish person. You cannot display the flag of your nation - it is against the law. You see what is happening with the African-Americans in the USA and seek civil rights, but on the first attempt in 1969 you are beaten off the road at Burntollet by a mob of unionists including members of the B-Specials, an irregular force comprised of only one side of the community. And as your civil rights movement gathers force, 13 of your unarmed friends and neighbours are shot dead in the street by an elite British Army regiment. People are talking about Martin McGuinness as if he woke up one morning and decided, on a whim to launch a terrorist campaign and then equally woke up another morning and decided to sit down with Ian Paisley. The reality is both processes evolved fluidly and he was not always in the driving seat of either. But it should be remembered above all that he was born into an apartheid system and through his actions, violent and peaceful, questionable or not, as a young and as an older man ended up concluding his life on an equal footing with the same civil and human rights as everyone else on the island.** **Not my own words.** Like Jim I tend to avoid religion and politics, local and global as to be quite honest I haven't experienced the extremes of either or ever intend to do so, but believe me when I tell you that I can remember a time that I'd only need to travel an hour in a northerly direction to see what it does to people and communities. I've stepped foot in Northern Ireland twice, in nearly forty years of being on this planet, and Ireland in particular. Both times since the Good Friday agreement. Whatever and whoever brought the "peace" to bear, I think we can all agree that there is no going back.
  18. Four million Irish killed or displaced since 1850. Think about it.
  19. Hey Jonny. I've a brand new set of Superpro rear subframe bushes available. They retail at £210 plus postage, they're yours for £175 shipped. I'll check the rest of my parts to see if I've much left from the subframe, I think all I'd have are some really excellent condition fasteners with no corrosion. But I'd add them to the parcel if they'd be of use.
  20. Ah feck this game, I'm off to bed! You'd think there'd be plenty of stock rims on the market wouldn't you?
  21. There appears to be a full set with tyres on Driftworks at the moment mate. A member by the name of JOSHLAKE is selling them, refreshed the advert a few hours ago. edit: sorry mate, I may have misread the last posting. But he may still be worth a shout.
