  1. You might be better giving SRD a shout and getting a new Bride rail.
  2. I'm thinking 285 will be the sweet spot. Good find mate. I'll be honest, I've found it a bit of a headache trying to find size consistency with the PS4's. Michelin don't have all the sizes available on their website and other suppliers list the missing ones, but not others.
  3. Max size for Michelin PS4 on a r18 is 265, IIRC. I can run a set on the front, but not the rears.
  4. Howdy, I'm running an r18 10.5 on the back and I'm debating what tyres to go with. I would have gone for a Michelin PS4, but they don't have them in the sizes I need. Are there any alternatives for an equivalent? I'm tempted to go with Proxy R888's but living in the UK, I'm concerned about getting caught out when the weather/road condition changes from dry to damp/wet.
  5. Just need the two for the fronts.
  6. If you haven't already, smoke test the system. I made a DIY smoke tester years ago with a bike pump, soldering iron, a jar and baby oil and rag.
  7. Good call with booking it in with a specialist. Tbh, it could be a variety of things as per my other post. A decent garage who knows the cars will be able to elimate the issue in reasonable time.
  8. Give this guide a try to temporarily try TTC mode: http://mkiv.supras.org.nz/articles/andy.htm
  9. When you say lag, was it misfiring? Reason I asked re drive train is because the autobox torque converters can get sluggish if low on fluid which gives 'lag' feeling. If it's engine related, do all the standard checks on vsv's, chuck into TTC mode, if problem persists, check for boost leaks, the old stock IC welds can fail which open up under pressure but look fine on idle. Another hose to check is the turbo link hose as they collapse internally and look fine at a glance. I have a replacement Whiftbitz if you need one. Could also be a sticking actuator, but I'd hazard a guess that you'll find the issue before you move onto that.
  10. Auto or manual? Are you confident your ignition system is healthy, e.g newish spark plugs, healthy coil packs?
  11. Fatty broke his resting his gut on it.
  12. Definitely not a patch on the Supra in the looks and sound department, but I guess that's subjective. Cool that you can get the family in and enjoy a good drive at the same time.
  13. Gotcha. It's potentially for a LHD Euro-Spec car so no worries. Ah yes, I remember some Americans thinking I put the hood scoop on mine myself.

    Hi all!

SRD are two and a bit hours away from me. Tbh, it could be a lot worse as people travel across Europe to SRD for their expertise.

    Hi all!

Sweet purchase, congrats and welcome. Look no further than SRD for TLC and modifications.
  16. I like that mine isn't an interference engine for obvious reasons, but when it comes to changing the valve stem seals (with the head on), I'm partial to the idea.
  17. Welcome back and good luck reviving the old girl.
  18. Thanks Del. That's odd re the US cars as I thought they were basically LHD Eurospec cars.
  19. What's the world come to when mechanics are frightened of a bit of oil.
  20. Chris said it was a good one. Gutted I missed it, but I need all the spare time I can get to get mine done. We're not too far off now. I'll be at the next one for sure.
  21. Does anyone know if these are interchangeable between RHD and LHD cars or are they handed?
  22. I recall one of them being interference hence the billet aftermarket tensioners to prevent failure/bent valves.
  23. Please tell me you wrote this whilst sat in a traffic jam with no AC. That's what's my silly imagination came up with when I read it.
