  1. Ahh, I was so close to popping off the negative terminal to reset the ECU, but left it as I didn't have any warning lights. I'll do that when I come to fitting the new pipes and check over the spark plugs. The guilt pipe was the 90 degree coming off the throttle body. Such a shame as it was pulling like a rocket. Have a few jobs to tackle this week/weekend before the Basingstoke meet on the 2nd: Sort dash illumination issue - 10amp fuses keep blowing. Replace rad cap, bleed water coolant and investigate why the expansion tank return pipe is blowing air into the tank, pressurising the tank. Replace boost hoses. Oil and filter change.
  2. Popped another boost hose off and developed a slight miss. Pretty sure it's down to another pipe that's come loose as the boost gauge is reading -75 on vacuum. No more playing now until the new pipes and jubilees arrive.
  3. Hell, yes. Popped off a boost hose last night so I've just ordered a new silicone hose set from Whifbitz (mine has had better days) and some high torque Jubilees are on the way. I'm still getting some odd overheating/water pressure/air locks. Went to Toyota this morning to collect a new rad cap to find the pillock had ordered a plastic cap for the expansion tank. Main dealers, eh!
  4. Manage to fit the boost controller yesterday... currently running 1.2 bar on high boost setting. The car has definitely come alive.
  5. IIRC, you won't need the stud extractor as well as the second cat is bolted to the first. Might be an idea to order up your new bolt(s) assembly before hand.
  6. Ah, in that case you won't have to touch the manifold mate. Just unbolt it from the first cat.
  7. Is this for more noise? Not to put you off, but you might regret tampering with the first cat. It's a royal pain in the arse to get access to 'when' things go badly, e.g seized nuts/studs/thread transfer. I would go for the second cat, dude. If you're going to tackle it, feel free to give us a shout if you want a couple of pointers. Have done a few and a couple of tips can go a long way to saving time.
  8. Gutted for you dude. At least you and your passengers are ok and you'll be back in another Supra before you know it.
  9. Oh well... can't say I was overly excited about it, tbh. I say, let's get as many peeps along to the Basingstoke meet on the 2nd Feb and we'll raise a beer in honour of Mr Walker there.
  10. Don't worry Sabrina, I'll have the chariot at your door with the heated seat on and a pillow for you to sleep on.

    RX8 owner here

That's a lovely blue on your RX. Good luck with the search.
  12. If you get a chance, it might be an idea to swap ecu's with someone to see if it goes away.
  13. That's a good option. I had a good look over mine when lowering the car and it looks pretty much like new so I'll keep it whilst running BPU, but eventually it'll have to go. FMIC seems to be the only choice to support the power goals. 'Active' spoiler and banded stock alloys, FTW.
  14. I'm all for hope Josh... in Dunk I trust! Really not wanting to get rid of the active spoiler. It's a great feature, especially when lowered.
  15. This talk of FMIC = no retractable active spoiler sucks! There must a workaround!

  17. Second Supra and second 20th. I like your style. pmsl
  18. Ooowwwwww, could be going single sooner than I thought.
  19. Ok bud, cool. I'll catch you at the meet. Going to give the banding some serious thought. Spacers and monster OE wheels would look pretty effin sweet. Thanks drift bear, will get some more pics up when I get the chance to get it out in the dry and clean it. Regarding boost, I was only intending to run 1.2 bar as I read it was the recommended limit for UK turbos and AFR. I'll get my wideband AFR gauge mounted and the harness ran into the engine bay this weekend also, ready for the bung to be welded onto the exhaust for the lambda. Was also thinking of doing the TTC mod as I read the power delivery is smoother and it prolongs the life of the second turbo.
  20. Ahh, yes. I know the one. A wise choice since you're lowering the ride height.
  21. Thanks buddy, yeah, have been doing a couple of late evening finishes here 'n there. I've been lucky enough to have a good pal to lend a hand and have access to his workshop. Would have been pretty fooked without him. Are you going to the Basingstoke meet? Would be rude not to go out for some BPU goodness.... that's if I can stop drooling over Parry's Supra. Ohh, and BTW, I have been giving some serious thought into getting my rear stock wheels banded....
