  1. Im not convinced the o2 sensor would be causing overfuelling to the point of flooding the engine, but if its not within the tolerances, I would change it anyway as a rule of thumb. Definitely check over the ignition system and gap the spark plugs if they're still looking in reasonable order. How do they look, btw?
  2. Were the plugs wet when you pulled them out?
  3. I'm in the process of addressing this issue on my uk car. Have you tested the voltage via the engine diagnostics? Mine reading was 0.3v which would confuse the ecu into thinking the car was running lean. I've got a new lambda sensor and will be fitting it the weekend.
  4. Lovely Supra. And... cracking ass, Westy (4th pic down).
  5. Damn straight buddy. It was difficult to notice, but you know what it's like when you know it's there. It would have been a b!tch to sort paintless. May I own a Transformer...
  6. It seems my car has The Wolverine abilities. I was driving home on Wednesday and heard a loud bang on the roof and immediately thought "sh*t! WTH was that?!". I pulled up onto my drive and checked for damage. Nothing. In actual fact, it turns out a small annoying dent towards the rear of the roof had popped out on it's own accord. All I can think is that the panel must have baked in the sun and cooled quickly when driving... either way, I'm not complaining!
  7. Ahh, sorry matey. For some reason I thought you had a TT. I'd change the leads as well if they haven't been changed for donkeys. It seems quite common for NA's to be suffering from ignition issues these days due to old HT leads.
  8. Yeah, its definitely rear for a UK to come with black leather and black carpets. I've only ever seen cream.
  9. I guess its personal taste. I was chuffed my UK came with black leather and carpet instead of cream.
  10. Crankshaft & camshaft sensors? They should flag up with a code, but you never know...
  11. Yes, mate. I haven't done it on an NA, but it should be similar to the TT. There should be a diagnostics box in the engine bay where you can test it.
  12. If you exhaust all other options, I'll come and give you guys a hand to compression test it to rule out anything nasty.
  13. Original leads.... hmmm... they may look ok, but they will have lost their insulation over the years causing them to contact against the block. I'm betting leads. Good luck guys.
  14. Would be worth checking what voltage the narrow band oxygen sensor is putting out.
  15. Ok, dude. My first port of call would be HT leads. When were they changed last? Failing that, and I don't want to put the frighteners up you, but a compression check would rule out the head being cooked when you were bleeding the coolant system. I have a compression tester if you guys want to borrow it.
  16. I wouldn't want to run 400+bhp through a w58. Sure, it may handle it if you take care extra caret, but that in itself defeats the object of adding more power for me.
  17. Thought I'd bump this thread to see what peeps are sayin...
  18. Just the ticket. Cheers guys.
  19. After eliminating the o2 sensor(s) as the culprits for my car running rich and occasionally stalling at junctions, I was curious if someone can tell me if I will also need to purchase the wiring harness for both (UK spec) sensors? It's been a while since I've been under the car and seen how they are plugged in. Lastly, any recommendations for where to source them? Cheers.
  20. Thanks mate. I looked a few TT6's, but they were a little bit shabby for my budget.
