  1. Great write ups of the mods you're doing. Love seeing a decent homer come along.
  2. If this car is a nice as it looks, it would fetch something close to the asking price, without a doubt.
  3. I saw this car up for sale a while back and was tempted to go down and have a nose... purely out of interest.
  4. The picture at an angle from this shoot is the best shot of your car by far. Looks awesome Alex.
  5. Thanks for the comments peeps. Hope you're well Jake - must catch up when the event season kicks off! I've decided it's a no-go for the body kit. I can't bring myself to butcher this car. If I one day sell up to buy a built 6sp single, who knows... maybe the widebody would happen then.
  6. They would be kept along with all the original parts I've taken off unfortunately mate.
  7. I do like all of the above, but I think its widebody or stock at the moment.
  8. Chopping the arches out is going to be what all of this is going to be hinged on. I'm not sure if I can bring myself to do it.
  9. I do like the NUR. It looks nice from the back, but something about it when looking down the car at a 45 degree angle, it flares outwards from the doors to aggressively, ruining the lines of the car. Just my opinion, of course. Yes, the filler cracking issues is what also sprang to mind, but as the finish will be a wrap, I don't mind pull it off every now 'n then to make repairs and then rewrapping it.
  10. Indeed. This and any serious arch work. For the record, the only kit I'm really interested in at the moment is the full Ridox widebody. Does anyone know if the rear quarters can be bonded/epoxy'd without holes 'n rivets? Also, how much arch work has to be done, if any?
  11. I guess its all about personal opinion, but I've been fighting off the urge to bodykit my car.... well... pretty much since I've had it. I find myself torn because it would be a real shame to butcher the original paint and bodywork on a UK car that's been cherished for the last 20 years. So, here's the conclusion so far: I have zero intentions of getting rid of my car so I'm not overly concerned with resale value so it would be more to do with preserving the body, should I want to remove it later on down the line. If I were to go with a kit, what would be the best way to fit a widebody? I don't like the idea of drilling holes in the quarters for rivets so bonding it to the car and blending would be the best option? Thoughts peoples.
  12. Ahh man, this colour is becoming the new silver.... Only joking Westy. Looks lovely Lee. Congrats.
  13. Started mine up for the first time in a couple of months today. Pulled it out of the garage, got it up to temperature and got the AC going to keep everything in order. Gave the engine and bay a coat of WD40 and put it back to bed. Was nice to hear her purring again.
  14. Any fuel getting in? Were the spark plugs wet?
  15. What a nightmare!! Sorry to hear this dude. I'd go with what Jamie said and drop a long block in and just go out and have some fun in it.
  16. Sounds pretty normal to me apart from boost spike. Check for boost leaks for the spiking.
  17. With Supra's becoming rarer, if you find a mint example in the right colour and at the right price, Id get it and convert it... Especially if its a UK car.
  18. Welcome to the UK auto club dude. Looks like a nice car you've picked up. I was also surprised at how good the auto box is. 1.3 bar of boost kickdown certainly gets your attention.
  19. Might be worth changing the rad cap to rule it out. Lean afrs on idle is quite common (I have no idea why), but it wouldn't hurt to have it adjusted. Just be mindful of mot emissions.
  20. Really? I've seen probably 4 or 5 up for sale over the last 6 months, and that's just on here.
  21. Absolutely stunning. Shame about the colour coded interior, but each to their own.
  22. Ahh, could have been the one. I politely went and spoke to a guy with one identical at a meet and he told me the car was his girlfriends. I looked at her and she was clueless... it was obvious he was too cool for school to talk to anyone about his car so I said fair enough and moved on. It was a shame I never got to embarrass him in my old Renault 5 GT Turbo.
