  1. I live in a little culdesac and there's a guy opposite me with an Astra with a baked bean can on the back and he's always blipping it. It doesn't matter what time it is, he can't help himself. I can't help but laugh sometimes as it's amusing to think it's sometimes for my benefit as we both like cars. The only difference is, both me and Sabrina park our cars aiming in the right direction so when engine springs to life, it's immediately shoved into drive and we're away on idle... with, hopefully, no car alarms going off as we leave. Some people just live in their own little bubble. I had the pleasure of house sharing for a few years when I first left home and came close to killing some of the inconsiderate f*cks!
  2. YES!!!! Walker back in the Supra. As said in this thread, it would be epic if it was his own car.
  3. Impressive! Time for a new clutch, but I wouldn't blame you if you just want to drive it this year.
  4. Holy mother of Nos! I envy all the hangover free weekends you've been having mate!
  5. New shiny bits arrived in the post today. Some more goodness! In the name of Whifbitz this time. These should marry up nicely with my Chris Wilson SMIC. That's my BPU charge cooling system sorted now. In terms of performance, I'm considering a mappable ECU next for a less crude tune than the FCD. I have one big spend left for this year and I'm struggling to make a decision... new wheels or manual conversion??
  6. Maybe an extra shot or two of Jager this year at JAE?
  7. Thanks mate. That'll be my boo boo doing it on tapatalk.
  8. Sweet! Look forward to seeing it done at JAE.
  9. Ah, I see. If its that good, it could be worth considering.
  10. True, but doesn't stop it munching a synchro 50k miles down the road. Then its as good as a 3k foot rest. I'm not overly concerned about how a 350 gearbox would affect the value of my car, tbh. She's a keeper, which is another reason the Z gearbox is appealing as it'll be far cheaper to repair/replace than the getrag if anything goes wrong. I honestly don't think the M3 is necessary... the 350 can handle way over my power goals.
  11. Looking forward to hearing the first start up with that thing on.
  12. It could well work out the same price as an old 6sp getrag, but I think I would happier knowing I have a gearbox nearly 20 years younger, shifts a lot nicer and is a fraction of the cost to replace... and lets be honest, spending 3k on an old getrag that has more than likely seen a lot of hard miles and thinking it will see out the car is wishful thinking.
  13. The GTR is too new school for me... as well as being AWD, I'm not into paddle shift, stability management, etc. Looks wise I'll always prefer sleek over box shaped. It's just no Supra. Just my opinion.
  14. I hadn't considered it before, TBH. I just noticed more and more skidders using the 350z box and they hold up well with abuse. I'll definitely look into it. Sweet. Will go and take a look. I am warm to the idea of a smoother gearbox to operate and one which is A LOT cheaper to replace should anything go wrong.
  15. Hi mate, I've just taken a pic and updated the first post.
  16. I don't use Google. Anyone out there who has done the conversion?
  17. Bumping this thread as I'm curious about the 350z gearbox. Does anyone know what the gear ratios are and how it would effect acceleration/top end with a large UK diff compared to the Supra getrag?
  18. Yeah, I'd be concerned if it was still 2009.

  20. Looks half finished. Don't think the disgusting colour and wheels sell it either.
  21. Great thread and build mate.
