  1. To be fair, if a garage wanted to change all the pumps and seals on my engine (and it had only done 51k miles with no signs of issues), I would be thinking in the back of my mind they're trying to shaft me for a extra bit of cash. 51k is barely worn in for a 2jz.
  2. Yes, and hell yes!! Word on the street is it's Paul Walker's very own 6sp single.
  3. It sure does dude. Looks like a nice little battle between the two.
  4. Thought this was worthy of a thread (even if you're not a gamer) as this promo video has some 'official' footage of the Fast and Furious 7 Supra against the Charger. Albeit only a tiny snippet, it's still got me stoked for the movie. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Z4_CdMlgIs
  5. Hell fricken yes!!! Fast and Furious 7 Supra time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Z4_CdMlgIs
  6. Big yes to insurance. They're getting extremely funny about even the smallest of stickers nowadays. Any excuse not to pay out!
  7. I'm kinda new to the whole anti-lag and launch control thing so... was this the two step launch with the anti-lag activated as well (as the two are different)?
  8. Sweet deal... I'll start a list to get a rough ideas of numbers and then we'll set a date. 1. Big Supes 2.
  9. I would put out a wanted thread for the parts you need. If you need a 6 speed flywheel, I have one for sale.
  10. Awesome news, dude. Appreciated. I'd be happy to do it all over again that's for sure. I have a score to settle with your dyno!
  11. Ouch! Pmsl! I never understood why Haynes manuals have spanner ratings. They should clearly have pictures of baboons arses so you know how tricky the job in hand is going to be.
  12. It's nearly that time again... http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?320021-Dyno-Day-II-quot-Judgement-Day-quot&p=4005590#post4005590
  13. Howdy peeps, its that time again. Time to lay down the gauntlet and see what your car is putting out . Last year we had a great turn out and not just with the Supra's. The weather was perfect and the BBQ topped the day off nicely so lets hope for a repeat this year!! Its also worth mentioning it's Dude's Birthday as well so we get to give him a club members b'day bumps. Only joking mate. Date confirmed: 1st August 2015 Price: £35 per car. Address: International Park, Priestley Way, Crawley, West Sussex, RH10 9NT For anyone who missed last year: [video=youtube;ZxQIthDX5-Y]

  15. I thought the same on my old 200sx and it dumped oil onto my head. It was a tight squeeze under the car so I couldn't exactly get out of the way in a hurry either. Nothing worse than a finger check on a cold day!
  16. Fair enough. I haven't been under mind and had a look, but could you make a couple of wooden wedges and hammer them in (in sequence)?
  17. Chris Wilson fast road pads for your UK brakes and you'll be fine.
  18. It's definitely worth spraying everything in penetrating oil the night before when doing something like this.... just for future reference.
  19. Thanks dudes. I'm thinking he'll be back on the road Easter weekend Dave. Will probably get the MOT and tax sorted the weekend before though. Thanks for the offer Jake. Might well take you up on that as I've been thinking we should build up more of a local members tinkering club. With more heads involved, it makes lighter work for everyone! Plus, I love a good tinker. I plan to start work next weekend if you're around. Hopefully the weather will be suitable.
  20. Thanks mate! Credit to the 2 previous owners, TBH. I'm doing my best to keep it as clean as possible. I'll be honest, I've missed it like crazy the last 5 months, but the days when the weather has been nasty, it brought a little smile to my face knowing it was tucked up sound asleep in the garage.
  21. Getting excited about bringing Supes out of hibernation now that Spring is here.
  22. A friend of mine has an RS Focus. Great cars and handle like they're on rails. My first car was a mk3 XR3i. Bought it at 16 and stripped it down, did all the paint preparation and a mate's dad resprayed it back to it's former glory. Later on the piston rings gave up so I bought a second hand engine and rebuilt that, then swapped them over. Also had a Fiesta RS Turbo. It was superchipped to 160bhp and would pull into the red in 5th. That was a great street car for it's day. I'd love to have a Series One RS Turbo as a garage queen. Still love those cars.
