  1. Big Supes

    Boost issue

Make sure its booked in for a boost leak check and not a leak down check matey. For what its worth, a little bit of fairy liquid in some water and a spray bottle could save you some money diagnosing. Any other boost leak symptoms? rich? Revs drop below 800rpm when coming off the throttle at junctions, etc? I'm still betting on the solenoid, but definitely worth eliminating a boost leak.
  2. Jesus... Bring back the good old days when 10k would get you a nice single 6sp. Still, I'm not complaining. Glad I decided to get back in a Supra when I did!
  3. What's the word on the Na-t conversion dude? Planning to get it started soon?
  4. Great project mate. Was pretty much what I was going to do to mine a while back, but couldn't bring myself to hack up the shell. Kudos for just going ahead with what you want to do with the car. I'm sure it wasn't a decision you made lightly.
  5. Regardless of your problems, if you have the option to go with a mappable ECU, do it. The FCD is a crude way around upping the boost, IMO. For this reason, I'm looking to do the same. BTW, what number do you have the FCD set to?
  6. As a Hollywood actor, Mr Walker was known as being a genuine decent bloke. He made time for his fans, even the paps and did a lot for charity. On top of that, he was, as the OP has said "one of us".

    Boost issue

If both turbos are coming online, it sounds more to do with the boost controller. Could be the solenoid.
  9. So true. Wheels would transform the look. Manual would transform the drive. - - - Updated - - - Playing around with a new app this morning in bed. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w3_tq4GFLcA My dog loves the Supra.
  10. It shouldn't come as a surprise. I told you when we first met that SP1's were on the shopping list. That being said... I keep changing my mind between going 6sp and forking out for the wheels. There's no way I can stretch to do both... and save for a house.
  11. Pretty undecided at the minute, but more than likely SP1's or Meister S1R's.
  12. Thanks dude. Getting there... slowly, but surely. New wheels or manual transmission next. Still not sure which one to go for.
  13. Chris Wilson SMIC and pipes fitted. Supes is back on form and running SO much better! 1.25 bar and holding steady.
  14. Productive day today.... New Chris Wilson SMIC and Whifbitz stainless pipes fitted. The car runs so much better now. I forgot how quick it was before the original IC started playing up. Was also nice to get the oil change done. Will get some pics when I've managed to clean it all up.
  15. The problem is the roads will always be contaminated with salt as long as there are dips in temperature... as the councils send out the gritters again. A nice bit of spring rainfall and then its good to go. I think the proof is in the pudding when you look under the UK specs around today. You can tell the ones that have been out all year round compared to the ones that have been tucked away. Thanks dude. If I ever need a shiny fix I just visit your build thread.
  16. True mate, but the salt roads will eat it over time. I had to change a tyre, but she flew through which was a treat. IC and shiny pipes are going on today, as well as a cheeky oil change.
  17. Haha I've always though the same. We could definitely do with the likes of the Jamie Pmiester representing there. I thought the Zs stole the show last year.
  18. So... battery has been fully charged... it's wakey wakey time tomorrow! 4pm MOT. Wish us luck.
  19. Sorry, have just seen your post. I'm there... might have to take another look.
  20. Have a look on whifbitz website, I know they do them or Paul might be able to an OE one at a good price.
