1. I was under the impression the stock suspension bushes are the best for handling?
2. 90% probably were imported in England. The elite were probably built and are maintained in England as well. I've noticed the love for Supra's in England has decreased. People have moved on and seem to gush over the R34 and the GTR. I don't get it, but each to their own, I guess.
3. Chris Wilson SMIC and Whifbitz stainless pipes. Car runs so much better.
4. Sweet. Was going to say, if you fancy your first meet, there's a few of us around Southampton who would be happy to come and meet you and check out your new P&J. Couldn't think of a better way to enjoy your first moments... convoying somewhere in a herd of Supra's.
5. I managed to source a decent do-luck front bumper on there for Sabrina's Supra and I have also been stitched on here. I guess its just the joys of the internet. No matter where you buy from just make sure you're avoiding paying for an item as a 'gift'.
6. Amen to that. Haha if I had the money and land, I'd like to get a nice shell, anchor it down over a very deep pit and have a fake floor in it barely strong enough to hold the seats!
7. Enjoy the sleepless nights dude! Perfect time to pick her up. Maybe let her see some nice English summer before taking her north.
8. Boils my pi$$ mate. Can only imagine how gutting that must have been.
9. Jesus. Must have been stolen to order by a gang led by a guy who is trying to save his kid brother's a$$ from a stereo typical British villain. In all seriousness though. That's rotten mate and scary how well executed it must have been.
10. Thanks for the advice dude. I have considered a proximity alarm and I will have to make the time to install my gps tracker with built in alerts and engine cut function. With the proximity alarms, it is a function you can turn on and off? You always hear them going off at car shows and they get a little irritating. I think the biggest saving grace is not keeping the car at mine. It was only there on Sunday night as the weather was nice this week so I thought id take it into work. How dare I!!!
11. Hmmmm... In Southampton you say... If it goes missing I know absolutely nothing about it.
12. I only have an external letter box as I got sick of trying to piece letters back together. - - - Updated - - - Yea... that could work.
13. Exactly my thoughts mate. At first I was convinced they were after my dog. He's pretty intimidating when it comes to guarding the house so they would be f*cking idiots if they tried, but needless to say, that doesn't make me feel comfortable that it couldn't happen. After reading up some more about this kind of thing, I seen people talking about car thefts and burglaries. It could be all three in my case so I'm taking no chances. Scum of the earth. Society should be cleansed of said filth.
14. I think I'll just chalk the "not worth it" sign on my house.
15. Thought I'd post this thread as a bit of a warning to fellow members... Last night I was woken up around 1am by my dog to a police officer lurking outside of my house. I popped my dressing gown on and went downstairs to investigate. "Police Officer, Sir. One of your neighbours has reports of a man crawling around your car...". Here we go again... (anyone who remembers my last thread of this nature). We looked around the car and couldn't see any damage so after giving my details, I went back in side. Then I heard my neighbour's voice so I went back out to find out what she had seen. Apparently she drove into our road and noticed a transit van parked on the side of pavement. As she continued to drive into our cul-de-sac there was a guy in a hoodie and a scarf near my front door. He tried to hide behind the wall so the police were called. Da Pinchy Code It turns out there was a chalk arrow drawn on the pavement pointing towards my house. There was also another pointing towards my neighbour's (who had called the police) home. It's unclear what their actual targets are, but my Supra was sat on the drive and she has had three failed attempts at dognapping her chiwawa. The last time someone attempted to steal her dog, she also had a chalk arrow pointing towards the house. So, although this sounds like your usual tin foil internet BS, please be cautious and look out for these markings. If you see one, call the police and be extra vigilant. I've posted pics of both of the arrows.
16. My afr gauge will be going in once I go single... Which could be sooner than I had planned as I'm starting to see a little bit of blue smoke. There's no way those horrible twins will be coming off and another set going back on.
17. Interesting read going through the posts on this thread. I've never heard of "fuel dump" before in regards to engine management. It sounds incredibly crude. I would have thought the ECU merely acts the same way it does throughout the entire driving process; reading signals from its sensors and adjusting timing/fueling as necessary. For example, when it comes on boost, TPS, MAP sensor and airflow meter (in UK/US Spec's case) will tell the ECU to increase fuelling.
18. I remember looking at Supra's around 15 years ago and saw plenty of singles 6sp's for around the 10k mark.
19. Meh. I'm on my second silver Supe. Love it. Once the paint and body is perfect I'll probably wrap it (as thats what I do at work anyway) and change colours every other year.
20. Next question... Assuming you do away with the charcoal canister what should be done with this vac pipe that links to the throttle body? I haven't worked out where it goes to under the car... Just hoping it all gets blanked off.
21. Has anyone on here done this? I'm struggling to find any useful info on what actually need to come off? All I can tell is that going by the picture attached you remove the diaphragm on the back of the inlet and follow the pipe to cylinder #6 and remove (and blank off) that as well.
