  3. It would definitely be a "crap wrap" for £300. An actual wrap done properly costs anywhere from 1k - 1.5k. As of last year you have to inform the DVLA if you have have wrapped your vehicle in a different colour. I would double-check to see if the same applies for plasti-dip.

  6. She got a 50% refund, but with shipping costs, it was still £100 in the bin.
  7. Its fibreglass; its not rocket science though. When something is unusable, either the mold is crap or it has been warped from multiple pops. In any case, the final product should have never left the building. In all my years working with fibreglass boats, I've never seen anything so badly made. Uneven layers, almost see-through in areas that warrant strength, but more importantly, the whole thing was distorted beyond economical repair.

  10. I wouldn't touch Knightracer with a bargepole after seeing the Doluck front bumper Sabrina bought from them. Funnily enough, I have just got back from throwing it in the skip.

  17. Has it had a speed converter fitted? If so, I'd check it for a bad connection.
  18. It's always the way with modified cars. When I was into my Renault 5 GT Turbo's around 15 years ago everyone was breaking them and a large percentage fell into the wrong hands and were written off... nowadays specialists rebuild them from rusty shells.

  20. Lack of restrictor ring could definitely be linked to the extra noise. I think I'm with Swampy with the cams at the moment, although hearing the Porsche Cayenne (making the same under water sound) makes me think it's something else (possibly EGR). I need to get my EGR off and have another listen. Incidentally, I only found out the other day when reading into the EGR, that it's the reason the UK's have the bonnet scoop to cool number 6 cylinder where the hot gases are recirculated. You learn something new everyday. I do like the sound. It's like my old rescue boat I used to cox back from the dead.
  21. Random question, I know, but ever since going BPU, I've been baffled by the difference in my exhaust sound compared to other Supra's. At first I put it down to the different cams and turbo's in the UK, but now I need to know for sure. It sounds like the exhaust is under water when chugging along. More curious than anything else. I was recently following a new Porsche Cayenne and it also made the same sound which got me thinking it could be the EGR?

  23. Tell him to remove the manifold completely and bolt a new one back up with a turbo on it.
