  1. That poor horse, despite being already dead, needed a break.
  2. The only thing I can CATAGORICALLY say on this matter is... it never fails to stimulate conversation.
  3. Haha! Well... I confess to being that annoying guy who peaks through the window of any given Supra and sighs when he see's it's an auto. Yes, I had never been in a TT auto, let alone driven one. Although I'll always prefer manual and have every intension of converting mine to 6sp, I'll vouch for the auto box. Its fantastic. You can still have control over all 4 gears and bpu kick down will be sorely missed. I wouldn't let auto put you off if you find the right car.
  4. Ok... Can I be third in line please. You never know....
  5. You can never ache enough. Enjoy it while it last as you'll miss it as time goes by. If its really bothering you and you've tried everything else, maybe do some active recovery. It'll hurt at first, but it will speed up the healing process.
  6. Not a fan of the front and rear bumpers, but the rest of the car looks fantastic though. Nice purchase.
  7. Very happy for you Dannyboy, but probably not wise cluttering this thread. Recommend starting a new thread in the "Supra Chat" section.
  8. I think I know who the guy is, but can someone pm me please?
  9. Good to hear you're picking up the big twins project again dude!
  10. Jesus, he just went up in my estimations! Quite a feat that one.
  11. Love the Heat score. Such a good film that still holds itself today. Steve Jablonsky - My Name Is Lincoln (The Island Soundtrack)... ... featuring a compilation of my all time favourite fighter/bomber - F14 Tomcat. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yOSzEvogP0c
  12. Exactly this! I guess we can't force people to post, but it would serve as some form of interaction for the OP. You never know... not before long some members might start getting lots of likes and then some of the fanboys will start commenting on their threads too!
  13. Wait, whaaa?? I'm a bloody nice guy, I'll have you know.
  14. Yeah, but that's on Facebook. I like to come on here to get away from FB. This is what I'm referring to: http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=266358. If you keep scrolling down you will see a post with a 'Thanks' on it. You can like and thank members on their posts. Each 'like' or 'thanks' tallies up on your profile.
  15. I haven't seen them in the last 3 years of my membership.
  16. Just a thought... I wonder if enabling the 'Like' for posts on here would help matters? Sure, it sounds like pandering to attention seeking, but in a practical sense, it would give an acknowledgement to said OP that his/her posts aren't just going under the radar.
  17. I do love the te37's, but didn't know the offsets weren't great for the Supra. That's a shame. I'm sure something nice will come up. Love the direction you've taken with this project... I picture a classy yet 'mean' Aston Martin vibe going on?
  18. Nothing like a warm reception from the "community". I'll be honest, at first I almost felt like deleting my posts and requesting a mod remove the thread, but thought "Nope... sod it. This is getting documented here and now.". I truly appreciated your kind comments as well as a few other members though, kendoskeg. It was probably the peak of my Supra ownership and it was nice to share it with other Supra lovers.
  19. Thanks mate. There's no doubt people will be looking and judging, but quite honestly? Who give a crap. It's your car, do what you want with it. You're always going to get annoyances with clubs. People are like lemmings after all. A certain brand or way of doing something becomes popular so its out with everything and anything outside of the box.
  20. I have such a soft spot for these cars. Looking forward to seeing this when its finished.
  21. And there was me thinking it was just me. I've thought for a long time that maybe its just down to sports car drivers. Attention seekers and competitive in nature. When my car was featured on the Toyota stand with the FT-1, I'd guess around 5 people could be bothered to comment. I actually felt guilty updating my project thread in the aftermath (purely to document its history) as I felt like I could be rubbing it in further. I'll always compliment others on their projects and don't expect anything in return. It's just my love for cars and I wouldn't let anyone sap the fun out of it for me.
  22. Thanks for clarifying Lee. Thought I'd ask before being put off without good reason.
  23. I was just wondering what the potential situation could be with piston slap as I've never come across it before. I wonder if you could you get away with honing the bores or would it more than likely be a case of a re-bore and oversize pistons.
  24. Very nice. Sorry if I've missed it, but what wheels are you going for?
