  1. They were installed on the euro cars because the EGR heats up cylinder 6.
  2. £250 collected from Glasgow and delivered to my front door. Can't complain.
  3. Awesome project Foggy. Back from the dead! Where did you source your poly bush set from, BTW?
  4. Like IRN-BRU? Shame mate. It's kinda odd that you travelled all the way to my home town to collect your Supra and I travelled all the way to you to collect my Fairlady. She does sound quite nice, although I look forward to putting a full exhaust system on.
  5. Thanks Jim. Starion wheels are a good call!
  6. Thanks guys. The plan is to sell the wheels, put the Supra back on stocks and put the Ultralites on the Fairlady. I was of the same opinion regarding the Turbo sticker, but its grown on me in a retro kinda way. Its a popular conversion, but at this stage I haven't done the research. I think the Z31 bellhousing is used to put on the 32 box. I agree on the RB20. Apparently the vg30 is fairly tuneable so I guess we'll have to wait and see. Its a very responsive engine in it's stock form. There is bags of power low down the rev range. I'd like to 1JZ the second car... Haha yes mate, he's a GSD... and he loves to be bathed! When he's dirty he will go upstairs on his own accord and jump in the bath and wait to be showered.
  7. I don't regret selling it, but I would love to have my first car back - Mk3 XR3i. Nostalgia....
  8. Thanks mate! I've always thought that. When I owned an S13, it felt like a compromise to the Z31 as well.
  9. After years of looking and lusting, I finally got hold of a Z31 Fairlady. /vbb/images/smilies/bbcode_cool.gif The decision came at the time I was about to spend a lot of money converting my Supra to manual. After a lot of consideration, I decided against spending a small fortune to then depreciate it quite substantially in return. All it took was the Fairlady to pop up and then everything else fell into place. It's a 1988 UK specification car (manual, turbo, diff cooler, cruise control) and it's in pretty decent condition for it's age. The underside is surprisingly OK! The boot lid has some nasty rust underneath the spoiler so me and a good friend are looking at making a carbon fibre boot lid. We were talking about carbon fibre front wings as well, but you then get into the realms of split moulds, etc. Immediate plans are to remove the aerials and replace with a stubby S2K, poly bush throughout (it needs it badly), coilovers and to look at swapping out the gearbox for the Z32 box as it's stronger. The car comes with an identical 'spares car'. UK car, built in the same factory just a month later. The car is also in really good condition! The only thing missing from it is a prop shaft and a dizzy cap. I'm a bit confused as to what to do with this car, but at the moment I am thinking about restoring it and just garaging it somewhere. Me, Sabrina and Logan (the dog) had an epic road trip to get the car. It was situated in the Isle of Lewis just off Scotland so we piled into my Ford Focus on Wednesday night and drove until we hit the ferry terminal in the morning. Then it was a 3 hour ferry to get to the island. The Fairlady drove all the way to Southampton with no issues at all.
  10. Personally, I would go the 420g route. Spending 5+k on a v160 or any other conversion is just insane.
  11. I've made the decision... I'm buying a manual car and keeping the Supra unmolested.
  12. Hadn't heard of Shiply. Thanks SPG, I'm just awaiting quotes now.
  13. Hi Edward, it's an Nissan 300zx and it doesn't run. Ideally, I need to find someone in the south of England who is transporting a car to Glasgow so they can bring this one down...
  14. Bit of a long shot, but I potentially need a car trailered from Glasgow to Southampton. You'll be welcome to come and stay over at mine and be treated to a bit of sight seeing, maybe hit bournemouth beach... and beer. Failing that, if someone could store it for a couple of weeks in Glasgow until I can get up to trailer it back myself it would be a great help.
  15. Hi mate, if you do the elite controller for that price posted, I'll take it.
  16. I'd be surprised if it was the turbo as, isn't the oil pressure reduced via banjo bolts to prevent oil seals from being popped? The reason I ask is because this used to be the case, but I'm not sure if it has changed.
  17. Hi mate, I started with a new company a few months ago and they're slowly moving me into the office so I'm not on the tools as much anymore, but I'll always be passionate about wrapping. It's an art form. It's just a shame there are so many cowboys out there these days. I haven't used Suntek or Xpel before, but I'll keep them in mind should I ever do any homers.
  18. Yes, it has a soft (quite sexual) feel to it. Someone would really need the car for a week to do a proper job on it. No rubber would be covered, but headlights aren't a problem.
  19. That's a real shame Dunk. It definitely sounds like poor fitting, but I'm unsure as to why it looked dull. This M3 was done by myself and a former work colleague last year. As you can see from the pictures, the finish is very high quality. One to show the door and rear quarter finished. Side skirt undergoing application. Lastly, the bonnet.
  20. Oh dear. Venture shield is good stuff, but it's EXTREMELY difficult to fit. I've seen some of the best vehicle wrappers I have worked with screw it up.
  21. I haven't driven anything with the T56, neither have I operated a v160 or v161. I can only go on word of mouth and car reviews, but it has to be said, I have yet to see any reviews where the T56 is being slated. A lot of people seem to be praising it. Regarding diff ratios, I am currently looking at options, but either a US spec auto diff thrown in the box or an NA diff until it pops (although I don't visit the drag strip) should bring the T56 more in alignment with the V160. Looking at the pictures in the link in my first post, the gearstick position looks spot on. The v160/v161 would be able to handle what I'd be throwing at it with ease, but that's not to say it hasn't had a crunchtastic life being in the wrong hands. All it would take is a knackered syncro and it's good night. This is what really concerns me.
