So, the list of things to do is increasing quite rapidly... While I wait for the subframe and diff, I have starting pulling the rear end apart to start any body restoration work that needs doing. As expected, every single stud snapped off on the rear bumper and someone had put the rear lights back in place with a load of bathroom silicone at some point so they were a complete PITA to get out. For the time being, I have removed the loose surface rust and kurust'd the areas.

To cut a long story short, Russia and Syria must have been giving the American armed 'ISIS' a hiding. The US decided to level the score while they patiently wait for Assad to be overthrown. This could turn ugly. Especially if the two egos that are Trump and Putin start trying to outdo each other. Until the West moves on from fossil fuels, there will always be a war in the middle east that involves us.

Yea, a little clean up - good as new. It wouldn't surprise me of these were the originals that it left the factory with!

Decided to go down the S13 subframe route. The benefits will enable the car to get shot of the trailing arms and take use of a multi-link system so it'll unlock far more options for performance/serviceable parts. Dropped the subframe out today I think these shocks have seen better days.

Little thread update. Not a lot to report, but I started unbolting the rear subframe today in order to drop it down for poly bushing. Once it's out, I'm going to have a look into sourcing a new LSD diff.... I may even end up selling off the entire poly bush set and go for the subframe from the S13 with the multilink, rear struts, etc. Decisions...

Black leather interior with black leather roof lining. The leather seats are noticeably different in the UK-Specs.

Sorry to hear you're going through problems with the build, Alex. Just my 2p... finish it. You must be on the final stretch now. It'll be worth all the pain once it's done. If you can't finish it, I would sell off all the parts you don't need and return the car to BPU TT6. You could even go a step further and return it to an BPU auto. You'd make money on the V160 conversion, for sure. All of this being said, I can't stress enough to bite down hard and push the build over the finish line. Good luck mate. -
