  1. Maybe they can post it outside of the EU so I can get it in no problems. Looks good. Think I'll give them a try. Cheers for the recommendation.
  2. That's correct mate. My rear upper arms were pretty soggy and I had some poly bushes kicking around that I had bought years ago so I swapped the old OE bushes out for them. Ah yes, that's what I remember hearing a while back re the unequal drive shaft lengths. I wonder if there is a way to combat this effect? I'm wondering if both can be balanced via being made to be the same weight.
  3. That sounds like a great investment/time and money well spent. I hadn't given much thought about the C of G in terms of weight distribution under power, but it makes perfect sense in terms of power delivery and also braking performance. When setting up race boats back in the day when I was a marine engineer, the C of G was a pretty important factor in giving a boat the edge over another that appears (by the rules) to be identical. Sort of like stock car racing but with boats. While I'm not looking to go all out on this by throwing out the interior and any unnecessary parts for weight saving, I do see a lot of mileage in a decent street car set up.
  4. You know the one that has ears? Pic attached.
  5. Auto selector (sold) Auto propshaft: decent condition. Currently packed in a box as I took it to the post office for a quote on shipping for a forum member. price drop £200 Auto gear surround: signs of wear, but reasonable condition: £40 (pic inbound) Auto ECU: Unsure on price, but available for sale if someone wants it. Side indicators: decent condition. £40 UK/Euro Airbox - Broken hinge, but doesn't effect efficiency and can be replaced for new if it bothers anyone. £400 UK-Spec Full TRC assembly plus button. Price to be confirmed. Active Spoiler - slight damage, but completely hidden away as wasn't aware it was even there. Fully working. £800 Fuel Cut Defender: £50
  6. Ah, colour me surprised. Thanks mate.
  7. I recently dug these out of storage to sell to two forum members, but work got extremely busy and I ended up taking too long to reply to them via PM (apologies again for that). Tein lowering springs (will be separated from struts). Pic attached of how my car sat on them. £100 +PP Stock UK-Spec springs. Removed from my car around 5 years ago and sat in the garage since. Paint has flaked off here n there, but nothing a bit of hammerite couldn't sort out. £100 +pp Collection from Poole or Southampton available.
  8. Now you say that, I have that theory before lol. Just to clarify, the handling has improved since changing out the rear upper arms for poly and changing the suspension to coilovers. The car was at its worst when it was on stock suspension with lowering springs.
  9. I'm only interested in the tacho, but either way, I don't think they're Toyota branded, but could be mistaken. Sorry for the derail @mwilkinson
  10. I honestly have no idea how much its worth, tbh. @Burnaany ideas on price for an auto propshaft?
  11. Hi mate, sorry, just seen this while looking for a thread I started. Yes, I have the prop for sale if needed.
  12. Thanks Frank. I'm currently running stock 17's, but will be swapping to 18's soon so I'll bare in mind the tyre profile. I'm opting for michelin pilot sport 4's. A friend runs them and vouches for them. I've also read/seen nothing but good things about them via online reviews and videos. OS Giken has been on the radar for a while and I'm looking to drop the rear subframe this winter for inspection, clean up and fresh powder coat. Since converting to manual I've noticed the diff mounts definitely need doing. The new gearbox is solid (poly) mounted so it has exposed/off loaded onto the other mounts. I think I'll take your advice and add to the list with engine mounts as well. I'm around 450 at the fly, but to be honest, it's mainly in the wet that I notice how the rear generally wants to kick to the right when I jump on it. Admittedly, this was A LOT worse before recently fitting poly bushed rear upper arms and fitting new coilovers (hsd monopro). In my experience, open diff is night and day to an LSD. A lot more forgiving as you generally still have 50% traction at the rear as one wheel will always stop spinning or fail to start in the first place.
  13. Ah, I see. I've recently converted mine to manual so, if you'd like to sell, I'm on the hunt for a tacho dial. If it's just a dial and not the complete gauge, I don't believe so.
  14. Just for the purpose of conversation, something I've been thinking about since deciding to up the power on my car is rear end traction and overall control of the car once the rear tyres have broken loose under power. Some RWD cars break traction under power (in a straight line) and all you notice is the rpm shoot up like a clutch slip, while others will suffer, what I can only describe as 'Mustang Syndrome' and immediately kick sideways. My car falls somewhere between the two. It'll kick sideways, especially if I'm going up a level hill in a straight line, but it's catchable. Tbh, I'd rather it didn't want to send us into a ditch in the first place though. I'm thinking the diff might need servicing or maybe that's just how it is. I've replace all the sloppy suspension arms/bushes and running new coilovers so hoping that should make a difference. I'm sure someone who knows a great deal more than me about geometry and handling will be able to shed some light on it.
  15. Congrats on the purchase. Who doesn't love a black tt6, eh.
  16. Oww, where did you get the tacho face?
  17. Couple of little jobs on the go at the moment.... EGR delete. Sort cam cover oil leak and refurb while I'm there. Oil catch can on order from Real Street. 'Facelift look' to the front end. I couldn't bring myself to pay a hefty amount of money to downgrade to plastic so I decided to strip and wrap the innards. They're looking so much better.
  18. Absolutely mate. The Supra breaks the norm when it comes down to the classic car market, excluding the extreme rare examples. Like you said, well built cars in decent condition fetch silly money as well. Tbh, I'll only be selling mine when I can no longer get in and out of the thing so I guess it will go someway towards my pension lol. I'll take you up on the contact for the front lip buddy.
  19. I would normally 100% agree with this, but in this case, I think you're wrong. All jokes aside, I'm in no rush to sell them. I'd always opt to hang onto parts I've removed and the stock wheels will always have usage even if they're just to sit on whilst tucked away in the carcoon during winter months. I'd only consider selling them if they went for values mentioned above.
  20. I can appreciate there are a lot of people out there who would like to see cars such as mine retain their original status, but in all honesty, I never bought the car for it to remain stock-ish. In a time when stock was boring AF, I was still appreciating mine as it was and wasn't in a hurry to swap out the auto box and start modifying. Now it seems peeps are going back to stock, I'm starting my journey in making my car my own. The single itch has been there for years now, TBH. I found myself not really using the car for two years which resulted in paint damage to the roof (high winds + car cover) and I suspect the lack of use probably didn't do any favours to the rest of the car either. I feel my love for the car has been rekindled with modifying progress so far. It has a lot of decent history, but more importantly, many more miles of making memories ahead.
  21. Thanks bud. I'll probably kick myself down the line, but hey-ho, I've always been a "live for today" chappy.
  22. Yes, they're coming off my UK-Spec. Storage isn't an issue, but my twins are getting pretty tired so I could do with the funds to help buy a single kit. Tbh, (and each to their own) but I'm not really interested in storing parts as an investment. I'd rather someone in the community gets the parts they desire at the time.
  23. Na, if I did, I'd run a system identical to your oil breather system
  24. Considering selling my front active spoiler set up and my stock wheels. With people wanting to revert back to stock to sell up or just for a change, I'm wondering what these are going for nowadays?
