  1. My thoughts exactly. I ended up binning a doluck rep front bumper from them. It was so out of whack that it would have taken a lot of work to put right. Their Trail rears are paper thin which resulted in the bumper literally tearing off the car.
  2. If you want to go full bpu, yes, you'll need to decat it. Remember to keep the cats though as you may need to put them back in each MOT if you haven't got a friendly MOT tester.
  3. Got both, plus the folder. Think mine are still in the original wrapper.
  4. Got burnt by Knight Racer years ago so reluctant to use them again.
  5. Bump. Bit of a longshot but it anyone see's some Bomex rear spats for sale, can they point the seller in my direction? I'm aware Just Driven might be releasing their own take on the Bomex kit so I may end up hanging around for them. I'm open to OE, Ridox and Bomex side skirts also.
  6. Hammered the hell out of it on Xbox. Still waiting for Horizons (correction: Odyssey)....
  7. I can't really argue with anything you've said, especially regarding leaving it in high boost lol. I guess I've never really liked the head unit location in the Supra. I appreciate they weren't thinking about sat navs, etc at the time, but it's too low down for me. Years ago I felt the same way about the stereo location on my Renault 5 GTT, so with a bit of effing about, I swapped it's location with the HVAC controls. It worked a treat and I think doing same on the Supra will also modernise the dash, especially with a flat screen or tablet. I'm not really a fan of the box-like gauges like the toucan or deleting the OE clock or vents if I'm honest. Obviously the above will entail removing the center dash panel and taking a mould to make the modifications.
  8. Thanks buddy. That's a clean and simple install you've got there. Initially I was thinking about just having the Link software running natively which would give me the freedom to see gauges and data logs if needed. Something like the RealDash could most certainly work as an option though.
  9. I appreciate the current club model to assure only trusted traders are affiliated with the club. You're completely right to highlight the amount of dodgy cowboys and outright thieves there are out there these days. I only can't help but feel that, in light of the spawn of Facebook, it might be beneficial to review the current system with a view of gaining members over traders to support the club; more traders that make the cut, more discounts = more memberships. If people get burnt on Facebook and other groups, it might encourage them to join the club knowing that they'll be in safer hands. One this note, I found that one of the up sides to deleting Facebook is reconnecting with clubs and forums that are dedicated to the thing I am interested in. It's a case of quality over quantity in terms of content.
  10. Link G4X is on order. There's a bit of a back order which could coincide with the manifold and turbo arriving so it's not the end of the world. It would be nice to do it all at once, TBH. I've got some interior modifications to do as well. I've gone for a Hetherington Performance HVAC LED mod and a Hayai TRD rep / LED mod cluster to match. Currently debating a new double din head unit or scrapping that format all together as it's a bit dated, IMO. Instead, I'm thinking about blanking the head unit section of the dash to mount potential switches for boost settings and an auxiliary USB ports. For ICE, I'm thinking a Raspberry Pi with a large A4 (maybe smaller depending how obscure it looks) dimension mounted touch screen that is directly interfaced with the Link ECU and can run apps natively such as Spotify and Waze. Either that or just ran a tablet, but one which isn't locked down. All just theory for the time being, but I'm pretty sure it can be done and will offer a far superior set up for what I'm after.
  11. Ah, ok. It's been a while since I had to battle it out with insurance companies so I don't envy you. Good luck with A Plan. Hopefully they'll be able to help. They look after all my cars.
  12. Is that £300 on a classic car policy? My insurance went down from I started modifying mine. Something about the insurance company leaning towards the theory that car enthusiasts tend to look after their cars more. I'm with A Plan.
  13. That's a bit of a nasty rise, but TBH, I was paying £1200 at your age for an NA 5sp back in 2003/2004.
  14. I'd find another garage personally. Sod having to put the cats back in every MOT because some government dimwit thinks it's a good idea.
  15. No probs matey. I forgot about that. I can't comment on the process of becoming a trader, although I hope the view is to benefit members in having more options rather than profit for the club.
  16. GT4 was the last GT game I played years ago as well! IIRC, we had it on the club stand at JAE years ago too. Good times. Forza has been carrying the torch up until Forza 7 for me, but 'm not really a fan of the Horizon series. Albeit good arcade games it's a bit corny and doesn't feel like the car is connected to the road. GT7 looks really impressive. I love how they've reintroduced the driving tests again too.
  17. Mine will be available in a month or two. Sorry I can't be more specific, my manifold is still under construction. Will let you know when the pressure tank is off if you like.
  18. How much for the boards my dude? They do look rather snazzy.
  19. GT is back! I must say, this looks incredible. If I wasn't already pretty much decided on going down the PC route next gen, I'd be getting a PS5 just for this.
  20. Hey, they generally do go well before they melt. LOL
  21. For the time being I'll more than likely just run the base MKIV map and look into any improvements that can be made. No point going for mapping at this stage. Once the single kit is on, I'll be calling SRD for it to hit the dyno with Mike. Next year the cams and fuel system will be added to an engine refresh. It'll be remapped again by SRD. As much as I love a tinker, I'd prefer someone who already knows all the ins and outs to get the best out of my car, and safely.
  22. Yeah, I've heard of a few people running on the stock ECU in the past. I recall a chap on FB with a UK-Spec resprayed blue running a small single set up too. I guess if you've for a decent wideband you can monitor it, something I did consider, although I'm trying to avoid multiple gauges tbh. Just hearing the AFR's weren't great to begin with in past experience tests was enough for me to bin the idea.
  23. Yeah, that's it. I was under the impression the UK cars could run a single set up due to having the ability to measure air flow via the MAF sensor, but apparently it doesn't take a lot for the AFR's to get out of whack. It'll be interesting to see what difference can be made to BPU for now. I'd like to get the idle richness ironed out for starters.
  24. Nice. Was chatting to Mike about a couple of options he's looking to develop in that respect. Some really good ideas that'll no doubt work a treat.
