  1. Did a bit of wrenching of the twins today. Felt like a good time to stop and douse the manifold nuts in penetrating oil. Not sure whether to try and separate the turbos first to get better access to the lower run of nuts or just aim to get the manifold off with them attached.
  2. Owww, looking forward to seeing pics post-dip.
  3. Thanks mate, I've started pulling the twins off now so it'll be off the road for a bit. The next time it starts it should be on a Link ecu so will hopefully get a better idea as to what's going on.
  4. Checked the continuity on the fuel pump, bypassed the fuel pump ecu so it's on a constant 12v and changed the fuel filter.... not 100% convinced it's sorted. Pulled hard in 2nd gear, but still feels like it's missing slightly when you get into 3rd on WOT. Will check the fuel pressure once I've got a pipe with banjo (plus banjo bolt) to put onto my tester. TBH, I've had confirmation that my turbo and manifold are in the post so I'm tempted to start pulling the twins off Monday and sort this fuelling issue with the Link ECU. Will do a compression test merely out of interest before going single.
  5. That's generally what I thought as well. I failed miserably at chemistry, but have made some wicked party fruit punches in my time.
  6. I'm catless, but thought the same effect was taking place.
  7. I haven't, but I'll add it to the list to check.
  8. The old girls seems to have developed some feeling issues recently that I'm looking into. Its a bit annoying as I'm swapping the entire fuel system out later in the year, but for now I'd like to diagnose the problem. The car has a very faint misfire. It runs rich in idle (but kinda always has tbh), but feels like it might be suffering from low pressure at high rpm. When a friend followed me the other day he said the car had an eggy smell to it. I also smelt it, but thought it was another car. I haven't driven it since. To start diagnosing, I've got a new fuel filter to replace so while I'm there, I'll test the fuel pressure. If that checks out ok, I guess its time to replace the FPR. BTW, I've checked the injector resistor pack and it checks out ok. Is there anything else I'm missing?
  9. Good find Dunk. I'll hold off the big bank loan and underground bunker in my garden for the time being.
  10. Sure. PM me your address and I'll ping over my PP.
  11. I'm hearing reports that Ukraines application to join the EU has just been accepted.... Its what the West has always wanted as per my original post. Without sounding melodramatic, I think we could be looking at war with Russia. On the flip side of this, the WEF have predicted mass movement of refugees to come and we know Putin is also in bed with them. For all we know this could be merely more global engineering.
  12. Not a lot to report so a few piccies from today...
  13. Final straw and all that, I'd imagine. You have to draw a line somewhere. I don't profess to know all as we live in a world where we don't have any good guys, but the West encroaching on Russia is pretty evident to see.
  14. Throwing 30k out there...
  15. IIRC, it was agreed that Ukraine along with other countries that were in the Soviet Union remain neutral after the Soviet Union's demise. The West has backed Russia into a corner with breaking nuclear arms treaties, moving their missiles closer and closer to Russia's borders and now they've got Ukraine in the shit as their corrupt government couldn't resist the gravy train. No Russian leader with balls would allow Ukraine to become a NATO and EU stooge as it poses a serious national security risk to Russia and the only reason Trump wouldn't have let this happen is because I do not believe he would have pressured Russia in this way.
  16. My first memories of Elite was Elite II on the Amiga 500. I still have my Amiga so I fire it up every now 'n then for nostalgia.
  17. Poor Supra even looks sad lol. Reminds me of Johnny 5 when he's upset.
  18. I think people forget the age of these cars. Having one completely gone on one side isn't an eyeopener for me, personally. Cheap steel and Toyota probably wanted to keep them as light as possible. I'll let you know I get one with mine as I didn't look great through the gap of the bumper, looking up underneath.
  19. Probably just steel without much treatment. I noticed mine was looking a bit tatty when I was under the car last. When the rear bumper comes off to be tidied up, I'll more than likely replace it.
  20. I personally love ripping off old bodykits and getting the needle gun out. It's very satisfying removing years of wear n tear and then beautifying again.
  21. I have HOTAS, but no VR support on Xbox. IIRC, Odyssey doesn't support VR anyway.
