  1. Arhhh.....Perfect! Thx alot for the quick answers! Well, that explains alot, but not why anyone would disconnect the hose? Unless u really like the smell of petrol! :0)
  2. Hey all, abit of help plz! Ive put in a link for for album/gallery! I just need to know what the cable that ive centered with a red ring is for! It looked like it had been done on purpose! And the only thing i could think of, was that it might have to do with some sort of system for detecting when the brakes are worn and need replacing! Link to the 2 pictures; http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/album.php?albumid=130 THx alot!

    Disconnected Cable

What is this cable for? Itslocated inside the leftside front fender! My idea is that its to some sort of detection for when the brakes need to be replaced!
  4. Yea, ecxatly, i found the hose for the washer, but it look solid enough, theres like a little "L" formed transissionpiece in the side, but even this look to be in good shape! It a mystery! :0)
  5. Hehe , ecxatly! /vbb/images/smilies/bbcode_grin.gif
  6. Yea, and not a bad one m8..! Actually, the sprinklersystem doesnt work, but this was due to a faulty hose at the bottom of the sprinklerfluid container itself! But ill certainly tjeck to c if it could have something to do with this problem, could be that the system was broke more than one place! Only thing poiting away from this being the answer, is the fact that the liguid under the seat was without colour and didnt smell, therefore i concluded it had to be water, unless it had been lieing there for so long, that the alcohol in it, had evaporated! But its probably abit for fetched! :0)
  7. I like Benjamin, we talked about naming our soon, if we get one, Alexander or Sebastian! Sebastian is also my middle name! :0) And gratz on the upcoming familyincrease :0) Hehe, must be the greatest feeling ever :0)
  8. Yea, i know what u mean Sharpie :0), and there are no watermarks, that i could follow! And no waterbottles, i have had people in the back once! And regarding the stones, they are not under the carpet, but under the seat, which is higher and away from any feet, and the gravel was liek a moist mixture of water and gravel, abit like cement - So it lookes alot liek something that could have entered from the road! Regarding what u said Dazzi, with the 2 holes, they had like 2 seals, that was kinda melted on. But the seat itself was not bolted on in anyway! :0) Btw, thx alot for all the answers, plz keep them coming, it might lead to the answer! It has certainly already lead to some questions i could pursue the answer to, tomorrow! :0)
  9. Hey, its not a Aerotop, its a Hardtop! There are not watermarks anywhere else! Its under the rearseat itself, not under the floorcarpet, but the seat, and the foam in the seat, had absorbed alot of the water! Regarding the rubber seal, i noticed one under each of the seats, they seemed okey, but i thought about this aswell, as there where like gravel mxed with the water!
  10. Hallo all, i have begun a minor restoration of my Mkiv, so today i removed all panels, the carpet, seats, Ice and so on from the car. To my amazement there where some water under the backseat, and the seat itself, the foam that makes out the seat, was soaked in water! The problem is, i have no clue whatsoever, as to where this water could entered the car! I talked to a friend of mine, who suggested that it could have something to do with a sort of drainage system, as u c on some car, that leads water away, that would else have gattered at some deadend on the car! And there might be some hose that had broken of?? So my question is, is there a drainagesystem like this and/or has anyone experienced this problem before, with water under the backseath? Regards Mikkel
  11. And yes, theres a whole arange of funny comments one could come up with, as a reply to the last sentence! [sAD][/sAD] /vbb/images/smilies/bbcode_grin.gif
  12. Hey all, im in the middle of changing the auto gearknob, it was going smoot, until i came to the part where i needed to seperate the old overdrive wirering from the multiconnector below the atugeardash. Its the connecter where the dobbelwirering from the overdrive(2 white wires) and 2(green i think they are) wires from some other thing. And my question is, how the H... do i get the wires out of the connestor! The new wire i ordered came with new overdrive button but with some flat metalfixin in the other end, so u are supposed to remove the old wirering from the connecter and fix the new one, but they seem to be fixed with some strange "legs" that keeps it fixed TIGHT! What kind of tool do i need, and where do i need to stick it [GRIN][/GRIN]
  13. k, well, ill say so again, whatever comes closest to a proffesional threatment, so basicly, if we do not look at the budget, the only demand is that it has to be something u can work with at home.
  14. lol, yea u are right! Well let me put it this way, my other car i had it treated at a Ditec guy, u know like a proff. painttreatment, so u never have to polish/wax it again, and u only have to wash it with water, no soap - Aslong as the car gets a "followup" treatment every second year! But i sorta regreated doing this, as there is some pleasure in having a newly polished car - AND NO, IM NOT JUST POLISHING ANY CAR PARKED IN MY DRIVEWAY! [GRIN][/GRIN] :0) So im probably looking for whatever brand of wax/polish or complete threatment "system" that comes closest to a proffessional "makeover"
  15. Hey, as the headlines indicate - It would be nice to know what people are using(if anything!) to keep there Supra looking shinyyyyyyyy:innocent: Maybe someone has found a particular brand of wax or polisher, thats good!
  16. I agree, either give her a decent gift, or dont bother at all!!! And im already boycotting Tesco, have been doing so for nearly 27 years!!! But then again, might have something to do with the fact that we have no Tesco`s in Denmark!
  17. Castrol Edge 10W-60 and Transmax for the auto. transmiss.
  18. Yea, think his "wife" knows, talked to him this morning, nice bloke! Think u should hold on to that one!
  19. :)What are u waiting for! [/GRIN] /vbb/images/smilies/bbcode_shock.gif [GRIN] /vbb/images/smilies/bbcode_grin.gif U wont ever wanna drive MR2 again
  20. Update! I explained the problem, as stated in this forum aswell, in the danish supra club. And another nice member, helped me with the problem! As Stevie b explained, the error 42 was caused by a de-limit box, or "greddy", found this installed under the footrest/bottomkickpanel in the passenger side. This was simply removed and the error disapered. Regarding the error number 41, this had to do with the throttle sensor. I got hold of a new sensor, we replaced the old one with it and adjusted it, and this removed error 41. Thx again for all the help inhere, sure glad i joined the site and became member. Just hope this little update can help someone else :0)
  21. Yea, i think i might need to remove both the airbag and the horn! The airbag for sure, but im not about the horn...Hoping i can keep the horn! I have seen it done before on an old vauxhall or Opel as its called in Denmark, but that was alot less complicated, than it seems on the supra, as the vauxhall had no aitbag! And its not the actual removal and following fitting of the new steering wheel that im worried about, its the airbag part! Cause what ive been able to find out, is that one might need to install some kind of "plug" for the wirring from the airbag to fit into, so it still receives some kind of signal, So the ECU/on-board computer still think there is an airbag mounted! So ill need to know if that is the case, or if i can just remove the airbagunit without getting any failure notices!? If not, what do i need to install to "satisfy/bypass" the system, so it wont notice that the airbag is missing! :0)
  22. Hey guys! I was hoping that someone might have a bid of experience in replacing the original steering wheel(with airbag) with a momo steering wheel, ofcourse without the airbag. I am aware that if/when i remove the airbag-unit the warninglight might start flashing, and it is ecxatly this i need help avoiding! I have the new steering wheel, and the new "Centerunit-piece", to fit where the old Centerunit and aitbag-unit was(i dont know what its called in english[OOPS][/OOPS])
  23. Welcome! Sorry to hear what has happened! Hope u get it fixed! I keep mine garaged aswell, to prevent something like that....sadly the last scum hasnt been born yet!
