  1. Some of u talk about cleaning the Co2 sensors, of which the mkiv have 2, if i remember correctly! They are easy to reach and get out - BUT, regarding the cleaning part - How do u guys do that? Im asking caus i dont want to damage the sensors - So was hoping someone might explain how they did! Mechanical? With solvents, did u completely remove the sensors etc.!?
  2. Hey all! I have for sometime now, had a suspesion that my Supra was using more Petrol than it should! I currently only getting around 5-6 km pr. ltr.(6km = 3,72 miles) And that is, a far as i have discovered, way to little! Should be getting 7-10 km ( 4,35 - 6,21 miles)! Or, am i way off? If im not, what could be the reason to the high petrol consumption? the car is running well, no problems that im aware of! It got a "new" engine(n/a) 1 year ago, aswell as a "new" transmisson(auto).! And last but not least, how far does your Supras run on a tankfull? its around 60 ltr. in a tank or so, isnt it! lol, not really knowing, as i go by the mileage indicater in the car, everytime im at the gasstation! Thx in advance! Regards Mikkel
  3. Hey, just sent u the money via paypal, 29,24 in all for "Set 1", and as instructed, for shipping to Denmark :0)
  4. Im sorry for u, a real shame with the car, but as everyone else says, its good that u could walk away!
  5. Btw the other thread is this one, if anyone wants to know what its all about: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=175000&highlight=keyless&page=2
  6. Evening all! Yesterday i posted in a thread i made some time ago, regarding keyless entry systemm however noone replied! Im suspect it wasnt the best place, so im making a new thread, as its kinda important for me to know, if anyone has knowledge about how to programm keys for keyless entry system. So here goes: I got the remote from http://www.keylessride.com, along with the programming instructions, called activation procedure #645! However, i cant seem to match the instructions(and the receiver they suggest/think is installed in the Supra - the one under the drivers seath) with the one installed in my mkiv. Theres a black/white "handdrawn" picture of the receivers box one the paper with the instructions, however, as stated above, it looks nothing like the one found under the drivers seat in my mkiv, as the one they are showing and refering to, has 3 connector slots, no aerial exit and a little programming switch/button on the side of the box(its like a little whole where u press and hold with like a pencil or similar object!) IM really sorry, i would have scanned the instructions, but for some reason, my canon is acting up. Now, the receiver box, udner the drivers seat in my mkiv has only one connecters slot besides the aerial entry/exit(the antenna one), other than that, it has absolutely no entryes/connectors. Therefore im thinking the problem could be, well alot of thing, but mainly 3 scenarios comes to mind: 1. That they are refering to another box, than the one under the drivers seat. Could it maybe be the keyless entry ECU they are talking about? 2. The instructions are for the Supras equipped with the RS3000 dealer or port installed option (PIO), not the factory security system(whatever that means!?) 3. As my Supra is a 93 Jap spec. and i ordered the key to one such on keylessride, however u do not type in specific model, could it be ive gotten the instructions for the earlier model from 93(not mkiv)! from Im sorta hoping this is the case! I know that my questions might not be the easiest the answer, as u guys cant the the instruction, the drawing of the receiver box and all, but im hoping, that maybe someone else has had a similar experience, when trying to get new remotes for the entry system. As soon as im able to get the Activation procedure scanned, ill post them here so they can be of use for others - But for now, ill just write the 6 steps, maybe someone will know if its actually the right procedure for the mkiv or not, so here goes Avtivation Procedure #645 Toyota Supra 1. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the ON position(as far as you can go without cranking the engine) 2. Using a pen or pencil, press and hold the receiver PROGRAMMING BUTTON for 3 seconds. The STATUS MONITOR LED or vehicle exterior (tail and marker) lights will light up solid for 5 seconds. 3. Press and release the transmitters TOP or BOTTOM button for one second and release(This should be performed within the 5 seconds that the STATUS MONITOR LED or exterior lights is lit solid) 4. The STATUS MONITOR LED turns off, the vehicle chirs once and/or the exterior lights flash once to confirm succesful programming. 5. Turn OFF the ignition and remove the key 6. Exit the vehicle and test remotes(s) for function 7. To program additional NEW remotes, repeat procedure. Yep, thats is, thx in advance all, really hoping someone knows alot more than me about this, and is willing share his or hers knowledge :0)
  7. Haha, we drink that in Denmark aswell, theres a "drink" called "A firetruck", its Jägermeister mixed with red sodas :0)
  8. Sorry, didnt know lol :0)
  9. How sick can u be! http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/article2206434.ece

  11. Hey all, as part of making my Supra the way i want it, i bought the original emblems/logos from Toyota - Im loooking forward to seeing the result of having them on the car, as the car is black and so are the marks! But as i havent had the car from it was made 15 years ago, ofcourse, i dont know where the logos sad originaly? In all the Supra had a Toyota logo in front and on the back, this is no problem! Besides this, it had 2 other emblems/logos, the "Toyota" and the "Supra". I havent bought the Toyota one, as I dont like the looks of it! I have, however, bought the "Supra", and was hoping that one of u guys knew in what side at the back of the car on aprox. where it sad when the car rolled of the assemblyline? I tryid google, for some pictures from Toyota back then, but without luck! So im hooping for more here Thx in advance!
  12. Yea i have the connector box u are talking about, it was under the drivers seat, and i tjecked now, cause i remembered removing a box like that, when taking the car apart! And as u describe, it has an aerial exit and a 12 legged commentor slot! Only problem is, i havent got a clue how the original remote lokked like(regarding the http://www.keylessride.com), and how would they be able to match the programming of the remote with my car - cause they do not ask for anything other than year and make/model, and im thinking all remotes should be individually programmed!?
  13. However, ordered the "kit" from the dealer, should be here tomorrow or the day after/wednesday at the latest) - When i get it installed, ill ofcourse post here! But regarding what i wrote above, with the switch vs. slave engine, can anyone of u guys, who do NOT have remote controlled central Lock.sys, but just the stock where u insert the key, remember if u can lock/unlock both dors from the passenger side? My Supra is disasembled for the winter, so cant tjeck! Caus if it doesnt lock/unlock from the passengerside, only from the drivers side, it shows that there is only a switch in the driversside door!
  14. Talked to the "Toy" dealership today, and i he confirmed that u can get like a kit, that comes with a couple of remotes and a controlbox, that u connect! But what im not sure of. is wheather the Supra is like other Japanese from this period of time, meaning that they might not have a central locking motor in both doors!? And therefore it might need a little extra slave motor in the drivers door, as its this door that will only have a little switch! Regarding the alarm part! The Clifford looks real nice, so does Magicar and Viper alarm aswell! The big thing in Denmark at present time is the Viper alarm system, as its said to be very reliable!
  15. Thx for the answers! I tryid googling Toad a106i, but without result! What am i looking for?
  16. Hey all, i would like to fit a remote locking system in my Supra. It already has the stock central locking system installed, but as u all know, one has to insert the key in the keywhole and turn, to unlock/lock! The locksystem works fine, but as many of u might agree with, its just to oldfashion, and i therefore wish to get a system where i can lock/unlock via remote - maybe with and alarmsystem along with it! So how do i do this the best and easiest? Is there some box with a pair of remotes i can buy, and fit near the vacuumpump, and thereby making the stock remotecontrolled? Or is there some other system u guys would recommend? As i said, wouldnt mind something with an alarm in it! Hoping for alot of good answers and links to shops hehe Thx alot guys and girls;)
  17. Yea, u have a point! But the 2 connectors fits together. So it seems like they both have been in the car all the time! if a seat, like u say, had been fitted then the connectors shouldnt fit, or am i wrong!? And thx alot for the very good answers btw :0)
  18. Hey, i have a 93 mkiv n/a, j-spec. As ive told before, i have disasembled a great part of it(the car) and experienced that some some "funny" things have been done to the car along the way, by the previous owners. But anyway, when i removed the front seats, and ofcourse i had to unclip the two connectors that sit together under the seat, i take it its through this one connector that the seat gets its power for the slide/elevation function. BUT, when i reached to unplug the two connectors(one coming from the seat itself and one from the bottom of the car), i saw that something strange had been done: Explanation: Going into each of the connectors are 4 individual wires, 2 of these wires had been pulled out from each connector, and joined directly to eachother(with SPEAKERCABLE! who does that to a car like the Supra!) And whats even worse, part of this "Cable" wasnt insulated! The original connecters where not connected, and therefore leaving the 2 wires still in it, not connected. A few answers upfront: The car doesnt have any buttons for seatheaters, the slide/elevation function worked perfectly, Its in the Passenger frontseat that i experienced this. So, now im just not sure why anyone would want to make such and operation to bypass a couple of wires! I havent been able to find a wirering diagram that shows ecxatly what wire runs where, so i can find out what the explanation could be. Therefore i im hoping that someone would have an detailed diagram of the wirering in this area! Thx in advance! [GRIN][/GRIN]
  19. U shouldnt by any chance, have the little plastic/vinyl cover, that the rear seatbelt slidesthrough up at the e and f "pillars"(dont know the ecxat English frase :0), at the backseats! I need the one at the E-pillar(passenger side, rear)
  20. Arhhh, perfect! Ill take a look at it! Thx Ian.!
  21. Yea, its a problem, when as u need to remove the left front wheel, and the innor fendors to get to it! And as i wrote, i cant use the pump itself, as there are no power for it, cause engine is partly removed and so is the battery!
  22. Thx alot Andy. That is however, more an overview of the electronics, that has to do with the washer pump, and not the "mechanics", so thequestion is tstill unanswered. But thx alot anyway :0)
