HU, Antenna and mirros electrical failure! PLz. help!
Lacoste82 replied to Lacoste82's topic in mkiv Technical
Found the flaw, turned out it was a fuse, was burned almost inside the not visible part, the metal string thats visible is instact, only a small brown mark from the heat gave it away. apparently the fuse Rad no 2 (7,5 amp) is shared by the Hu, mirrors and antenna. -
Yesterday i was driving home, and suddenly the Hu shut down, the active antenna wouldnt go up/down and the adjustment for the side mirroes wasnt working either. I just went through the fuse boxes, the one inside the cabine aswell as the one in the engine bay, and i found no blown fuses! Im thinking it could be a ground wire, mounted on the chassis somewhere!? But other than that im clueless as where to look for the problem! Please, im hoping someone could point me in the right direction![sAD][/sAD] Thanks in advance!

Perfect! Thx to both of you! Wallis: Your 8,5" front, fit perfectly with a 3mm spacer, which moves the rim/tire, closer to the edge of the arche, if im to do that only by adjusting the offset, shouldnt i be going for a lower offset? It would be an adjustment by 3 ofcourse, but the offset would be 35 i think, instead of 41 - When the number decreases, the rim is moved outwards i think? Not being smart here btw hehe, caus im really not sure either! :0)

Great, thx! I can see that one ebay seller, is actually wheelbasealloys.com, it seems like the obvious choice then! Wallis: when viewing your garage, your jade r`s are listed as 18" rear and front 19", how come you choose smaller rims at the rear? As stated, im going for 19" front and rear, and 275 tires rear. However, spacers a illegal here in DK, so ill have to choose the right offset to begind with, ive recently bought an adjustable suspension kit, just BS instead of Tein, so i will be able to adjust accordingly - But that be said, im still kinda clueless as to ecxatly what offspec ill i should go for? And i take it, given the 1,5" difference from front to rear in rim width, that the offspec is different front and rear? RobD: Do you by any chance, recall what size tires your using and your offset? I take it yours is 10" rear and 8,5" front?
-
Evening! Ive been wanting some 19" jade R`s for some time now, and the time has come to order. Id like them in 19", 8,5" front, and 10" rear, with 235/35/19 and 265/30/19(maybe 275, not sure?) But what offset am i looking at? Also, wheres the best place to order, need some that ships to mainland EU(but dont mind the last part, ill tjeck which ever is recommended!) Ive been in contact with wheelbasealloys.com, but ive also found the rims at performancealloys.com, topgear.co.uk and wheels.uk.com. As I havent dealt with any of them before, I really do not have a clue if I should just go by the price, or if one dealer is to prefure before another? Thx alot! Regards Sebb

Thx m8, they look awesome! Smooth transaction. fast shipment

Its an J-spec from 93, its not more than maybe 3X2 inches, located below, to the right of the servo fluid cyl, when standing infront of the car, looking into the engine bay! I try and get some pictures of it tomorrow m8, think you might have one?
-
Hey, are these made specially for the Supra? I can see u write it comes with connection to the org. Loom, but just to clearify, they will just bolt on as easily as the original and connect to the eletrics in my 1993 mkiv J-Spec? Im interested, if they work perfectly and its a yes to the questions above , you have a buyer! :0)

This is a little tricky, im looking for the little plastic boks, located under the power steering fluid cylinder. The little plastic box, has 2 studs for vacuum hoses, one of these plastic studs has broken of on mine - I beleive it has the parts number: 17630-16040 Regards!...! Dont let the fact that i live in Denmark scare u, ill be paying via paypal ofcourse, and ive already traded, amongst others, with Si. Looking forward to hearing what u have!

I must admit i dont think its an 180B either - More like a Corona Coupe: http://www.picsearch.com/imageDetail.cgi?id=MyzOQreJfBy6-pnSLsVCO-QnG4UoQbLEsrodgH9CSqU&width=1280&start=1&q=Toyota Look at the location of the petrol cap, the shapeand looks of the rear lights and other details, they fit for the corona, not the 180 imo..!

Looks like it, but it isnt, the 120y doesnt have a separate rear window, its more like a modern hatchback. 120Y:

Evening, a question for you all, what make and model is this old Japanese fastback? http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4112/5005831363_b9b8426923_b.jpg

Ive been using Castrol Transmax Z only - Its the one they have as there "highest recommendable", for the Supe. so i hope its fine! I was however abit in doubt when it came to the amount, as the Toyota dealership said one thing, castrols homepage another and so on - Do you know ecxatly how much fluid goes for a early Jap spec n/a aut. Transmission!? Theres the right amount on, tjecked it with the engine running, and it seems fine, just dont know how much enough is!? :0)
