You've got me wondering if I ticked the tab now too! Any chance a mod could check for me when you get a chance please?
  3. Hey mate. Fine thanks though it basically went straight in the garage after I drove it back. Waiting for the Spring now... Good luck with the sale and I hope you find the right car.
  4. I've seen this in the flesh and it is a lovely car! Sorry to hear you're selling though. Are you still after a Skyline?
  5. I came across this a few back and quite enjoyed it.
  6. Interesting thread on Pistonheads if you want to chip in... Link
  7. Without meaning rub salt into the wound is there really no way you can keep it? It looks like you've put an awful lot of yourself into this car. Surely you can wangle something to keep it?
  8. I'd say welcome to the club but I'm pretty new here myself! I'm in a similar position to you though perhaps a little further along, I've paid a deposit and am waiting for the car to be shipped in. Exciting times! Do you have any pictures of your Celica? You know somebody is going to ask!
  9. It comes into the country around the 20th of this month so shortly after that I guess. Still feels like a lifetime away!
  10. She can still be Supra chauffeured on the weekends ;-)
  11. Obviously I've not owned a Supra as yet but I've seen a lot of 'I miss my Supra!' threads on here. Could you not just buy a cheap runaround to keep your running costs down? I've got a VW Polo which is ace on fuel and pretty reliable. Just a thought?
  12. Yeah the wait is absolutely killing me! That said it'll be worth it and I'm sure I'll be grinning all the way back from Newcastle
  13. With all these things though sometimes it's just about getting it done isn't it. At least you can forget about it now. The car is coming into the country on October the 20th but I presume that just means it arrives in the docks. After that Jurgen said he's got some prep to do like fluid changes etc. I'll head up as soon as I can and maybe ask to get those gauges removed or relocated and maybe de-spoilered. I feel about 12 again
  14. I'll definitely come along to more meets once I have the car. So excited :-) I hope your radiator's sorted mate. Where did you take it?
  15. I'd just like to chip in and say thanks to everyone for being so friendly and a massive thank you to k9l3 for not only giving me a ride in his car but also letting me drive it! I know what these cars mean to people so I very much appreciate the gesture. It's safe to say that it sealed the deal for me as I've put a deposit down on Jurgen's black TT!
  16. Yeah count me in :-) 1. -welsh-stealth 2. Downimpact 3. Dr_jekyll 4. k9l3 5. Chenco9 6. Jata
  17. Hello all, I don't have a Supra as yet but am considering buying one very soon. The only thing is I've never been in one! Would anyone mind if I tagged along to have a look and maybe nab a quick ride around the car park?
  18. Out of interest when does it arrive? Do you have a specific date? I am leaning toward this I have to say. I've only ever heard good things about JM Imports... (Discount Jurgen? )
  19. Believe me I have considered this! I'll have a word with the girlfriend and see if she fancies a trip to Newcastle :-) In terms of history and receipts, I'll take that into consideration as part (albeit important!) of the big picture. In all honesty I'd probably ask someone with a good knowledge of Supras to have a look with me. I would never buy without viewing it in the flesh because, as you say, pictures can hide a multitude of sins. Thanks for all the input, it's very much appreciated!
  20. Here you go: http://www.paulbrowncars.co.uk/car_Twin-Turbo-6-speed-Stunning-Gloss-Black-Low-Miles-Toyota-_73_20_index.php I completely agree about doing my homework and I am trying to look at it objectively. It ticks quite a few boxes in that it's tt, black, low mileage and already de-spoilered (trivial I know). Arguably I might be better off with a stock car as I'm new to Supras and BPU would be a handful. That said you always adjust to what you're driving don't you. Jurgen has this on offer too which is also very nice. The only downside being the gauge pod which is not to my taste but it's far from being the end of the world... http://www.jm-imports.co.uk/cardetails/toyota/2011/supra23.htm
  21. So in general they seem to be ok. I had a quick look on Companies House too and didn't find anything of note. I know Jurgen has a very good reputation on here and I'd otherwise just go straight to him but you know what it's like when you spot a particular car...
  22. As per the title really. I've spotted a car I like the look of but was curious about people's experiences...
