Anyway, we've never been to Oulton before and it's a bit of a trek for us but we understand it is worthwhile so are looking forward to it. It would be nice to see some other familar faces there too...

Sorry Mike - haven't been online for a few days. Glad you were able to book on though - and Alex too. It would be nice to see some familar faces on the day.

Chris and I would obviously be up for a return trip this year. It doesn't really matter to us when it is, although surely we should all wait until the timetable is published so we know when it is open? It would also be great if we could tag Spa onto the end of it...

I'm not sure red would work (in my opinion) but I guess it depends on the wheels. I think black or white wheels look best with a white car. Maybe black or white with a hint of red, like those with a red line around the edge?

The STI has a bigger scoop than the WRX (at least for my car's 2003-05 generation) although I think all the dimensions are the same except for the height above the bonnet (ie. the STI's is taller).

We too had a really nice weekend away. Good to see everyone again (and meet Dunk). Thanks to Steve for the bacon butties and for showing us the way there (and showing us how to drive those fun roads with the Peugeot ) on Saturday. It was a shame that I didn't get my car on track on Sunday but I'd also be up for a return trip to give it a go myself, but preferably in the summer when it isn't so cold and windy! Thanks to Mike for taking me (and Chris) out - really enjoyed it . Shame I didn't get to go out with Simon but there's always next time... Hope everyone got home OK. We managed it in four and a half hours (non-stop), which was pretty good going!

Thanks but I think we'd prefer not to drive up later on Friday anyway (did that last week) so it'd probably be best for us to have an early night and instead go up on Saturday morning, if that's OK. We could try to make it for 10am so as not to hold the rest of the day up, but could call on the day to update on progress. Knowing us it'd be nearer 11am; we can but try...

It looks as though it might be a bit tight for us to head up on Friday after work, as it might mean us getting to you a bit late which is unfair to you, but thanks very much for the offer of letting us stay. I guess this means the spare bed is Alex's if he wants it. So if we're to come up on Saturday morning, we should be able to get to you by late morning (11-ish maybe) but could push for earlier if we pull our fingers out. It would be nice to take in a bit of Welsh scenery, so your estimate of four hours to Holyhead sounds reasonable to me. Anyone else going to be joining our mini road-trip?

Chris and I are planning to come up, but just with one car this time as it's such a long way for us and our cars have been busy of late. Might consider sharing one of those spare places on the track on Sunday if they're still around... Might be nice to join in for the drive up on Saturday to enjoy a bit of scenery. Not sure how/where we could meet you though.

So you might be back in after all? Chris and I have been pondering for days and I have a feeling we're going to be in for next month too. I know exactly how you feel, James. I only have one lap left (plus a bunch of Euros) but it's enough to warrant another trip, surely? Oh and for next year - combining with Spa sounds awesome! I was thinking about just that when we drove past Spa on the way home this time.

I had a fantastic time too - a thoroughly enjoyable few days with a jolly good bunch of people, making the trip lots of fun both behind and away from the wheel. Can't wait to go back again! Chris and I thought this trip was particularly well organised and worked very well from start to finish so thanks go particularly to the Nums for making it happen. Hope everyone got home OK...
