  1. I have some one interested in my twin plate clutch currently fitted to 2jzgte and v160 gearbox, any one know if the same clutch will fit a 2jzgte mounted to a 5 speed r154 gearbox? Thanks
  2. sounds like your starter is gone or on its way out mine did this for a few months also sometimes it would refuse to start just clicking noises, I always carried a breaker bar and gave it a few taps and it started right away eventually.
  3. thanks for that buddy, ordered them bolts in the morning. 90910-02103
  4. Any one know or has used oem flywheel bolts to suit 2jzgte on an exedy twin plate clutch by any chance? just wanted to ask before I order some from toyota tomorrow or will I need aftermarket bolts thanks
  5. tried a magnet that extends like an ariel I remember I had done someting similar and borrowed an extendable magnet to fish it out
  6. I kind of figured that part of the reason my front crank seal went was due to my current breather system setup, any one got any tips or diagrams to how a good breather system should look like, I have removed both pcv valves on intake and exhaust side and welded -10 fitting to both cam covers, exhaust side is vented to atmosphere, intake side is going to catch tank which is vented to atmosphere, is what I have done wrong? help appreciated. Thanks
  7. No oil contamination or fueling issues, I got a feeling the seal got fitted in about half a mm from being flush with oil pump surface, I remember I did this and taught its fitted now and left it as that and did not try to pull it back out, hopefully next seal will not fail I will inspect the crank nose when I get everything off this weekend.
  8. my main question is when I get the timing belt sprocket and expose the pump and seal do I pierce a screwdriver through the seal to get it out?
  9. I am talking about the seal on the oil pump, oil pump was brand new fitted 4 months ago from toyota all of a sudden it started to leak today got oil on the timing belt and dripping down behind the crank pulley, crank was also good when I rebuilt my engine, hopefully this the last time I do something like this dont like to get my hands dirty any more. Cant see the oil pump failing that quick though
  10. Hi any one got any tips on how remove the front oil seal without removing the oil pump and engine, any advice on how to crack on with this appreciated, genuine Toyota oil seal only lasted 4 months with new oil pump
  11. can the problem be with the wires causing the pump to get hot and stop working? the wires i am using are as shown in the picture above some amplifier power cables I had kicking about, curious to see what wires people would normally use to avoid the pump heating up issue on similar setups.
  12. the thing is I don't have a supra its a toyota chaser and doubt there is a fuel pump ecu they originally have 1jzgte vvt engine in the from stock this pic shows pump location in tank which pumps fuel to swirl pot heres a pic of the pump and swirl pot this pump feeds fuel straight to the engine and does get hot recently and car cuts off feels like it run out of fuel I let it rest for a few mins and it works again
  13. Currently I am in the process of sorting out the existing wiring on my car I just happened to notice that my twin bosch 044 pumps are getting a 12v signal from the cigarette lighter giving them constant power from relays when car is running pumps prime upon ignition, My question is that should this signal be coming from the ecu to power both ecus or should I get the pump in the tank to get triggered by the ecu and the pump mounted externally fed constantly? I also noticed that sometimes the car would stall and turn off while driving for a while around town but I am assuming that could be down to the thin wire used for the signal feed which make the relays hot which I will replace today, can some one also point me out which pin in the ecu is for fuel pump on a jdm 2jzgte non vvt running hks f con v pro with harness. thanks for your help
  14. just need gearbox buddy got clutch and prop already sent you pm by the way
  15. need a v160 manual gearbox as my current box is taking longer to get rebuilt, any one selling a damaged one that I can buy for spares or a complete one that I will fit until I get my got back from reconditioning thanks
  16. wanted gearbox mount to suit getrag 6 speed, prefer uprated mount, stock will also do. thanks
  17. you should get your facts right, before you point fingers at people you will look stupid like other internet keyboard warriors
  18. nope they fit stock studs, worked on my chaser fine
  19. Just trying to see if I can get any interest in selling my current brake setup as I want to go aftermarket front and rear brake route. first up Lexus LS400 front 4 pot calipers and disks with ebc brake redstuff pads, £300 for the lot, please note that these are still on my car and will need to be removed. Second up, JZA80 rear brake conversion with blue pads assumed that they are endless racing and slotted disks in good nick £300 for the lot collected, these are ready to go, only selling as I found it very difficult to get hold of a few extra nuts to make this work on my chaser.
