  1. this is the strut i was reffering to, part number doesnt exist according to toyota would this have been the oem struts in japan then? cheers jay
  2. how strange, the tokico items definately look oem as they also have toyota branding on them? Jay
  3. hi, having a little trouble getting a relacement strut for a j-spec tt are they not available from toyota? it has tokico struts, are these the oem ones for a j-spec? tried ordering one from toyota with the model number on the car and they assure me the the one they sent is the correct one it obviously isnt as it is a bilstein and the spring platform sits approc 5mm higher i'm assuming the bilsteins where on uk cars? if not available from toyota where can i get a replacement tokico strut? thanks Jay
  4. yeh wasnt sying he was doing anything wrong, nothing wrong with making a little profit i'd just be a little reluctant to line his pocket knowing what he paid for it pride comes before a fall as the saying goes though, do i miss out on what still seems quite a cheap car just on principle and let somone else get a bargain Jay
  5. its a black '96, j-spec tt auto with uk lights and bonnet scoop i ask as i was browsing auto trader this morning and came across this car in 2 adverts - one a trade sale at 3750 and one a private sale at 5500 i've been working nights and wasnt waiting up till they opened at 11 so fired off an email asking if any faults or missing history etc (to the trade ad) just got up and didnt get a reply but after searching again the trade ad is gone i was hoping with the 2 ads that the private owner had part exchanged it and it was so cheap as a clearence car but it looks like someone has got a real bargain and just stuck 2k on the asking price now am i being unreasonable in thinking i wouldnt want to pay his asking price knowing he got it for 2k less and has probably done nothing to it? yes, i know it still looks like a real bargain even at 5500 so i guess he could have stuck even more on top what do people think and does anyone know the car? cheers Jay http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/www/cars/TOYOTA+SUPRA/Ne-2-4-5-6-7-8-27-44-49-53-61-64-67-103-133-146-236,N-191-240-4294966972-4294967173/advert.action?R=200833316518546&distance=40&postcode=BB5+3BT&channel=CARS&make=TOYOTA&model=SUPRA&min_pr=&max_pr=&max_mileage=
  6. ah ok, thought i read in one of the guides that they might have been an option thanks for the welcome btw guys
  7. they 'possibly' might have had them from new though?
  8. hadnt noticed till now the steering wheel covering the speedo
  9. cheers guys, just been reading through all the pdf's not as straight forward as it looks then when it comes to which model has what so it might possibly have the smaller brakes then? or alternatively are they 16 or 17" wheels? (not definative i know but if they are 16's at least i know it has the smaller brakes)
  10. hi, i'm Jay from Oswaldtwistle in Lancs and maybe looking upgrade from my mr2 turbo to a supra usually to be found on the imoc forum and beleive a few have done the mr2 to supra thing so might recognise a few names does anyone know of a place called AP Sports and Prestige as they have a nice facelift model for sale just down the road from me that i might have a look at http://www.apsportsandprestige.co.uk/108339/stock.htm (3rd from the bottom) not necassarily what i am after but seems to be the closest tt 6 speed for sale worked on a couple of supras but never actually driven one (unless you can call manouvering in/out of workshop driving) so just want to get a test drive and see if a supra is what i am after or carry on modding the mr2 one more thing, i notice this one is the facelift model but dont actually know what the differences are? is the jspec facelift model still the same spec as pre facelift? (ie still ceramic turbos, smaller brakes, plastic lenses etc) cheers guys Jay
