I wasn't sure where we was going either, I was coming down in the second red Supra but there was the Skyline and a few others still behind us thats why we didn't pull over.

We all met at the Main Entrance at around 8 ish. We then left there at about 8.30 where we saw a silver Supra going the other way and went straight into the harvester which was on the first left by the Texco garage on the roundabout. Geeza tuned up at about 10.10 and most of us left 10.45.

When I bought the Supra last Year I only got one key with the car. It's an import so does anyone know how easy it is to get a another one?

Should be able to make it if I can sort out my Exhaust which is dragging on the floor.

I would get someone elso other than Japvillage to check it. They told me they serviced the car when I bought it and when I had the next service at another garage they found a 3 inch Preying Mantis under the rocker cover which did not get in over here.

I might have a mate in his RX7 and another in an evo 6, Notcutts sounds a good place what sort of time are u thinking of leaving.

Cheers for the advice, The car has only done 49 000 miles, and was supposed to have been serviced before I bought it. I might have a look at the leaves as I live out in the sticks which is full of leaves etc. Not to sound stupid but where is the expansion tank as I have no clue about mechanics at all.

Thanks for the advice I will buy a new rad cap. Next question is can I get one from a main dealer or can anyone recommend somewhere else. All new to this and don't know of many places to get parts from. I spoke to the bloke who owns Torque IC in ashford and he said he can service etc has anyone used them before. Just one more question I have a hks turbo timer but because of the new alarm I had fitted I can not use it as the alarm does not arm with the engine running. Is it worth having havng this done or do they not make a difference.

I have had a new cap or so the garage said when I bought it, If the head gasket had gone surely there are other symptons like over heating as well as getting you can see white gunk in your oil. This was from my Renault 5 turbo so could be different in something a lot more complicated like a supra. How can I tel if the rad cap has gone ?

It was coming from the radiator, and sounded like boiling water. Could not here any buzzing or air coming from anywhere. Normally there is no other noise thats why I reconised the noise.

When I drove home the same night, pushed it more and it seemed ok. I think I have a new cap on it as they replaced it when I bought it which was August. Is there a way of testing it.

Was out in my 96 manual J spec TT yesterday, drove about 15 - 20 miles mostly around town so was not thrashing it. Pulled up outside my mates house and when I got out the car I heard a funny noise coming from the front of the car. Lifted the bonnet and it sounded like the water was boiling in the radiator which I have not heard before. The temp gauge was the same as normal about half way and there was no water leaking any where. Is this normal or do I have a problem? Cheers Terry Maidstone
