  1. ok thanks the exhaust is a jasma super megaphone apexi
  2. hi guys hope your all well got a few bits here from the supra ,stock staggered alloys aftermarket exhaust few fluids battery cover ,just wondered if they are worth anything
  3. mine has been gone two years now ,do i regret selling ? yes .but with my business now gone due to covid and the utility bills ,kind of made sense as i was getting afraid to use it incase something went bang and couldnt fix it ,always stay in touch on here as you say met some top people over the years ,no bullshit forum quality cars and members
  4. morning guys business is finally gone due to covid and now the utility bills ,so time to sell my trusty caddy ,had it for two years ,water pump and belts were done as soon as i bought it ,only thing that needed doing was a caliper last year which was replaced, mileage is 105000 , van is mint as you would expect air con cruise control electric mirrors ,windows alloys are all good and tyresprice is £9500 ovno
  5. ok mate thanks be a week or so before i get it , its being delivered as its so far from where i live ,itll go straight into an independant garage that im going to use ,get it checked over as soon as ,
  6. 7 speed auto, but still quite quick, from my research the 7 speed auto gets a bit of stick for being to slow on the changes ,but i think thats only if you are thrashing it which i wont be
  7. well its only going to be a summer car pretty much just like the supra , 55 would of been nice but when i sat down with my sensible head on it just wasnt going to be practical servicing costs are high ,plus running costs ,so i carried on looking and found this one ,ticks a lot of the boxes ,reviews are all good as its the newer engine ,the older ones had ballence shaft issues , so yes went for it ,started off as the thread title said looking at an SL but to big ,then looked at a 55 ,to rare hard to find a good one ,and if you did the price shot up ,so found the 350 kind of the middle ground .
  8. well what can i say guys didnt go for the bonkers 55 amg ,but this popped up so bought it ,ive ordered the blonde wig
  9. thing is dunk its 15 to 17 years old ,my supra was barely 5 ,and all the years i had it it never cost me anything apart from tyres
  10. from my research it looks like a bit of a money pit ,the V8 is ok pretty solid engine ,its the rest of the car ,subframes are like butter apparently ,but might get it changed as its a common fault by merc, the roof can also play up ,and all expensive to fix ,so will carry on looking no rush but can of worms i think
  11. yes mate i joined it last week
  12. spot on mate ive seen that vid for a decent one lowish miles your looking at 17k ish, the 350 is 10k cheaper ,yes dunk thats why i was looking for an 06 £360 tax, itll only be a summer car just like the supra sornd in winter so running costs are ok
  13. yes sure do dunk not really looked at the 350 till raven said earlier ,found a good head to head on youtube with good info , so then looked at the prices and for a decent 55 lowish miles your looking at 17kish the 350 similar 6k 7k hell of a difference but that v8 is the one to have ,hand built .few with90- 100k are cheaper and for that v8 probably isnt a problem but the rest of it might be
  14. thank you ,it was the v8 that i liked plus the nose ,as long as its 06 tax is 360 i think plus the 350 had balence shaft issues where as the v8 is pretty solid ,still early days itll only be a summer car so running costs wont be to high ,just had a look pretty much the same car ,but is the v8 worth 10k,hmmm not to sure
  15. thanks dunk had a slight change of mind due to the size of the SLmate has just got one which kind of started my interest and the prices are quite low ,so started looking at the SLK 55 AMG smaller car but a V8 but prices are twice that of the SL and not many about ,05 or 06 i like it has the F1 style nose ,wont get the SL in my garage

thanks dunk mate ,hope your well , yes been looking but although it was good technology back then it might be a money pit now lots to go wrong, and electrics seem to be common ,ill carry on doing my homework not in any rush

all you see on the forums are the negatives which i think give a false picture new or newish cars these days arnt built like before ,so maintainance and history is the key ,been looking at the merc SL 06 plate cheap to buy engine solid on the 3.7 but reading its the rest of it is the problem ,still doing my homework on it atm
  18. in my old age and supra gone been looking at these ,anyone ever had one or info relating to them ,prices are good atm ,would they likely to rise .
  19. 20 years in october but sadly supra went year before last
  20. the mjjc is superb and well worth the money, there is a ball filter on the end of the pick up pipe and if it clogs its easy to clean, but it does stop any crap getting up into the lance plus you use all the product in the bottle,go for the mjjc prov2
  21. wait for a halfords weekend see if you can get the foam and the seal
  22. yes mate the ag polar seal is excellent puts a layer of protection on the car in 5 mins have to dry it though, and as its a wax you really have to wash out the lance each time or it will clog
