Does anyone know if the Lexus gs300 has the same brake booster as the supra ge non ABS.

That makes perfect sense jagman, I will look into getting either getting the ls400 one or bite the bullet and just get one directly from Japan certainly not one from whifbitz at £1400.

Thanks guys, been doing some digging jagman I think you’re might be right about the ls400 certainly cheaper than the supra equivalent things are getting mighty expensive nowadays. If I was to spend the sort of money original parts are, I was looking into performance upgrades as well such as Chase Bays Dual Piston Brake Booster Delete with Bolt-On 6:1 Pedal Ratio. Has anyone had any experience with upgrading the brake booster either with this brand or any other brand.

Here goes I went to go out in the supe today but when I pressed down on the brake pedal absolutely nothing went straight to the ground. I started the engine still the same thing I checked the reservoir and all okay all at proper levels, I can hear a swooshing sound like I can can hear air from somewhere, another thing that is happening when I pump the brake pedal I increases the revs slightly. I believe it could be the servo but hope that it isn’t and wondered if anyone else has had a similar experience. Thankfully it was okay last week as it sailed through the MOT just a bit strange that a week later it just stopped working.

I managed to do it, luckilyI had put the intercooler on an angle so even with my big hands managed to do it the cable had come out due to the white plastic nipple breaking so I have replace the nipple and secured it and now works a treat.

Since putting a fmic I can no longer open my bonnet. I have tried pulling the cable with a pair of pliers after disconnecting it from the puller on the drivers side but no movement. I am putting the car on ramps tomorrow to see if I can reach it but I don’t think it will work is there anything else I can do other than destroying the bumper or the bonnet or am I right royally fooked.

I certainly agree that the labour is at a cost but if it costs £1500 for labour and the cost of a re spray is £4500 that means by my math they are charging £3000 to £4000 for paint I don’t really want to take out a second mortgage to just get my car painted.

Does anyone know anywhere in the Great Yarmouth, Norfolk area who is trustworthy to take my car for a respray without being ripped off as soon as they see a supra they think your loaded and feel they can hike the price I took it to one place in my area and straight away without looking round it £4500 +vat, there is no rust on the car no dents just tired paint, I know it is a lot of car to paint but £4500 +vat seems a bit excessive.
