  4. just realised i never posted in here and im nearly a full member a year now LOL im Damien from just outside dublin and i have a JZZ30 Soarer wanted a supra but 3 years ago a supra was way out of my budget to buy/tax/inshure so i got the soarer. she was a bone stock base model GTT I bought the car in Nov 06, but it wasn’t till July 07 that i started to change things. This is after a bit of cleaning for a supra meet http://img67.imageshack.us/img67/5282/untitled8fj4.jpg 1st dyno run in CDA with just a TRD drop in filter resulted in 196whp/220ft/lbs and she was doing 14.4-14.6 runs in the pod. Not to bad for a stock 1726kg car. I got a set of wheels of Richie in pro-parts next, 18x8.5 P1’s in bronze wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza RE050’s http://img528.imageshack.us/img528/7783/dsc00046km4.jpg http://img528.imageshack.us/img528/47/dsc00047tc2.jpg Then Marty from SSI told me he had a few bits he had for sale,330mm UK supra brakes allround,4pots up front and 2 pot rears, Blitz Nur spec R cat back, supra front pipe decat, greddy E-01 boost controller, Emanage Blue. Walbro pump and Automotive fuel pressure regulator kit for the 1jz. At the same time i also ordered a set of BC coilovers off nick in CDA and a Greddy Spec-R FMIC off Nengun.it was an expensive few months. The fist bits that went on were the BC coilover, put on and set up by the lads in CDA, im still impressed by them today, grand and comfy on the road but a few twists of the adjuster and she’s good for track/drag I then ran into an issue with the rad, after 2 new replacement ones that both failed agen i took the plunge and ordered a Sard rad agen off nick in CDA, car was off the road till that arrived. The Nur Spec arrived soon after and with the help of a very drunk gar and his mate we put it on, was well cuffed with the sound of it. Then she went back up to Marty in SSI to get all the bits above fitted along with some other small bits just in time for Japfest in Mondello. Another run on CDAs dyno with an unmapped EMB resulted in 301.5 @ the fly 250.3 @ wheels 263 ft/lbs I was up about 55Whp and 40ft/lbs car was now doing 14 sec dead runs into a head wind in the pod and and est 1.16 round the national in Mondello I told nick id be back after Christmas to get the car maped, in the mean time i bought a set of TME Recaros http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/9299/13032009147.jpg http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/7199/13032009146.jpg i finally got back out to nick after the new year to get her maped, the results @ 15psi were 291.2 RWHP 370.4 FT/LBS EST 350.4 FWHP http://img217.imageshack.us/img217/9226/roadspeed.jpg From stock i am now up 100Whp and 150ft/lbs the car has a bit of hesitation at low speed/launch due to the FMIC piping, gearbox starting to slip and what Marty now thinks is the OEM knock sensor but i was still very happy with the results nick got out of a basic piggy back ECU To get the car ready for its 1st track outing at the charity track day in May i ordered new DBA disks and got nick to order me some endless y sport pads [nice road pad IMHO] and a new set of RE050s for the back wheels. These should all be on next week then ill have to see how she is at the charity day and get her back over to the pod foer a few more runs bt:) I’d like to thank Colin and Marty up in SSI [supra Specialist Ireland] http://www.supraspecialists.moonfruit.com/ For all there hard work and help so far, they have looked after the servicing bits i couldn’t do along with providing advice. Top men for supra’s and 300zx along with any Jap import or domestic car Also thanks to Nick and the lads in CDA who has been helpful sousing bits for the car and also dealing with an auto on the dyno along with mapping it as well bt:) http://img4.imageshack.us/img4/3451/dsc0460copy.jpg http://img4.imageshack.us/img4/356/dsc0464copy.jpg You may ask what the future hold for the car, well the 3 key bits are built drag box, a GT35R single, and respray/kit. When i go single ill be hoping for around the 450-500whp mark GT35R for when i go signal next year hopefully compared to the stock CT12A and the kit http://www.n-sane.org/clients/akcustoms/photos/SOARER01.jpg thats me and the car.id still like a supra but i think id lose my ball's if i went for 1 now unless anyone wants to swap

  20. right i have a bit of a question here i done a engine flush [motul flush] and filter change [jap TRD] and put some full synthetic oil in [motul 300v] my temp would sit above 100c even when ideling.i was out on a track day 2 weeks ago and after 2 laps [max 3min] temps would shoot up to 130-145c id then pull back in wate 30min for the car to cool down a bit and go back out for 2-3 laps after the track day i changed the oil and filter agen along with another flush.this time i used the semi-synthetic motul 6100 temps are 90-100 with a peek of 115 when been driven hard. was it the 300v that made the car run hot ? or some thing else ? its a 1JZ-GTE running 300whp/350@fly with 200K km on it the gauge is a defi one and the reading is takein from a sanwich plate should i stick with a semi now ?
  21. is there anyone else heading up from dublin ? im leaven bout 10 sunday morning and meeting neil up in sprucefield and on to SSi
