  1. Crikey. You know a lot about Mr Spunk.
  2. Spunkmire was in Aliens was it not?
  3. I've certainly nothing to lose when it comes to a game of chicken
  4. Still nothing bud. Major downturn within overhead lines up here just now. Nearly every company is going through a restructure or there's redundancies. Can't really go and work away from home either with the wee one so I just need to wait and see what turns up. All yeh redundancies from the oil industry hasn't helped as there's additional thousands looking for other work too. Something will turn up though it always does bud. - - - Updated - - - I hope that Frontera thought didn't last long. I thought they were awful things mate.
  5. As above no longer need it. £350.
  6. Well as some of you know I lost my job in July and still haven't got work. I was forced to sell my Supra and glad it went to a good home with Fosta. He seems to be keen to pamper the car more. Sadly just couldn't keep it and with a new little one it was the only choice to make. So at the moment I've a Shogun Sport to bimble around in and to be honest I quite like it. There's no pressure if it gets dented or scraped and I've no problem taking a hammer to it. Today I rattle canned the bumper black again as the paint was flaking haha I'd never have done that to the car. I'll be back in a Supra one day but for now it's diesel power for me. once I've money again I may do something silly like try drop an Evo engine into it. I think when I'm going the Supra route again I'll be after a ready built car so I can just drive and enjoy. Don't fancy waiting on it being built or sent away with any luck when the time comes the right car will come along.
  7. I'm in. For now lol as long as old slow 4x4's are allowed.
  8. Nice to see you back on the road nearly. All the best with the mapping mate.
  9. Thanks to the few members that kindly helped with donations towards the charity trip. Got home last night after riding from Lands End to Aberdeen in one hit. Awesome trip. Plan another in May for charity but not sure where yet. Thanks again. Sorry to Malcolm and Karen that we missed you the times were a bit of a hit and miss for us. Next time I'll invest in a proper tent. This was a huge challenge
  10. Hope everything's in order down there. The stand police are on their way. Hope to god you have more than 3 flags up too
  11. If it's a naked upright I'd say a Kawasaki Z1000. Something sporty then a Gixer K5 1000 tremendous bikes and tons of power. Or if newer the new R1 or ZX10.
  12. Yeah that's before I got to know you all and realised what a bunch of dicks you all are
  13. Thanks to Style and gordy.r for your donations.
  14. Thanks mate Leaving on the 18th Malcolm so possibly the 21st at lands End mate. I'll update progress as we go
  15. This is being shared on the Police Scotland Twitter page and also shared by some staff that work for national geographic. With any luck a decent amount of money can be raised. Thanks.
  16. The Short Way Down Hi guys, I don't normally put post like this up , but as some of you may be aware from Facebook I am doing a motorbike trek round the North of Scotland and then down from John O' Groats through England and Wales ending in lands end, the most southern part of the UK.Unfortunaly I am doing this a pair of mugs, namely my brother in law and my life long mate. we are doing this out of our own pockets and are totally self funded. I would like to raise some funding to go towards a fantastic charity. The Lily foundation is charity that supports children who suffer from Mitochondrial Disease. This is a brutal and often under funded disease that escape the public gaze. If you are unaware of what this is I have enclosed a link to their website. This gives more information but all I need to say is this is a disease that destroys the lives of many children and their families. http://www.thelilyfoundation.org.uk/mitochondrial-disease My friends and I have seen the faces of many of these children that have unfortunately not survived this disease and simply put, it's heartbreaking. I would like to raise anything I can for this good cause and you can help by providing a small donation, believe me it is money well spent. Thank you. I will put the just giving link up for those of you who wish to donate funds.....Anyone else with a business or a tech firm who wish to get behind this and wish to support us, either through stickers for the bikes or toys for the kids we can hand out on the way please let me know and we will be in touch. Thanks for reading folks. Link added https://www.justgiving.com/Peter-Brownsmith/?utm_id=36
  17. Nice plans for her mate she will love her new presents.
  18. At 22 with a 7k budget is say a decent na or twin turbo auto. Only thing that may kill you on the tt is insurance. Single turbo cars are generally 10k upwards. If your plan is to go single turbo then the GTE would be a better platform. Other wise potentially there's the na-t option. If you go for a tt auto and plan to go single the general consensus for a good build is 10k. Good luck with your search. Just for info unless you are going na-t don't think about modifying the na the cost isn't worth the gains.
  19. Good luck with that sounds good.
