  1. Does anyone know if you can replace the "RETAINER, CONTROL SHIFT LEVER (FOR FLOOR SHIFT)- part number 33570-14070 " with the box in the car or is it a box out job? The part I am talking about is below circled in red- Thanks in advance for any help...

    vents

Yep they are a pain in the ass coz of the water getting through the vents. If your smart and do buy one get someone to glass up some covers that sit inside under the bonnet and fit perfectly... That way if its raining or lokos like or when you wash the car you can just fit the vents. Personally though I wouldnt bother... TS bonnets look sexy (as long as they are painted same colour as car and not stick out like a sore thumb..) That said it doesnt cause any problems other than I have a fully polished engine and s/s covers etc that get dirty as hell whenever I wash my car...
  3. Bump... Does anyone have a part number for the bush that holds the ball on the actual gearstick or a pasrt # for complete shifter assembly ? Anyone?
  4. Mate I feel for you. I rarely ever take mine out for fear of this sh*t happening. Me and the mrs took it to dinner the other night- I moved it twice during dinner so I could see it better when car spaces became available (we were at a restaurant 6 storeys up on the balcony- by dessert we were sitting basically on top of the Sup')... Needless to say the mrs is a little bit jealous of my car...
  5. You my friend are a gentleman and a scholar !.. Although the bush I was chasing is the one that holds the actual shifter stick in the cradle, the one directly below the gearknob itself- its white nylon with two rubber rings around it and holds the ball on the bottom of the gearstick.. mine looks like it has seen better days.. does anyone know if you can buy these- or a whole assembly? anyone? I will be getting those solid bushesfor the cradle though! Cheers m8!
  6. Hi guys, Having some trouble figuring out excatly what I need here- one of my gearbox seals is leaking and so I am just going to replace the rear two seals the propshaft adaptor seal, and the gear selector shaft seal. Can someone confirm the part numbers for these seals needed on the 6 speed v160- IS the selector seal this" shift rod case seal-#90080-31032" And the prop shaft seal- 90080-31029 ? Can someone confirm this please befor I order them. and I need the part numbers for the nylon bush that the gearstick sits in- I cant figure that one out either - I think it may be 33556-14050 but cant be sure. (have been looking at toyodiy for ages)... Or can I buy the whole shifter assembly complete- can anyone tell me is this the part numbers for the complete assembly?- 33530-14443 JZA80..6F 1 $161.01 33530-14460 JZA80..6F 1 $151.32 Any help with this is massively appreciated- I am in outback australia so dont have any knowledgable mechanics close and need to get all the parts together before I book it in for this work. And I have searched and read thorugh many threads to no avail.. So please someone help me!

  14. YEp for facelift (1997-2001) supra's.
  15. ANOTHER ONE only has 5 hours left though- http://cgi.ebay.com.au/TRD-JZA80-SUPRA-320KM-H-SPEEDO-BRAND-NEW-BOX-/130393017112?cmd=ViewItem&pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1e5c078b18 currently at about $85 GBP. Crazy cheap IMO and a lot more than the $220 GBP I paid...
  16. Surely a pre facelift and facelift unit wouldn't differ greatly and as long as there was not a great deal of difference in the lense shape one would think the sealant would take up the difference. Damnit if I hadnt just replaced all 3 lights with HID's I would just get pre-faeclift jobs and do it...
  17. ok I have searched but I couldn't find a definitive answer- will the glass lense once removed form euro or UK spec headlights fit onto my jspec facelift headlights? it says here : http://mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=188918 You cant just swap the lense but "it has been done". Why cant you simply swap the lense- can anyone tell me whats involved?
  18. someone call his bluff on the 4wd. I wanna see the correspondance for laughs.. please post herein!
  19. TT is the way. Especially if you like polishing everything... I sold my NA and bought a TT and it has re-ignited my love for the supra... lol as corny as that sounds..
  20. I had that the other day, an older asian lady came up and was telling me how it must have cost at least $120,000 (about 55k pounds) - funny thing was I used to deliver her papers to her business and she has money and drives a rolls or something (fist job I ever had when I was 12 was being a paperboy).. she was blown away and thought I was lying...
  21. Funny thing to me is where I live no one knows what a supra is. Everytime i park it in a carpark (which is only ever on weekends when said carparks are half empty so I dont get door dents)- I always sit and watch the car - whether from a restaurant or upstairs office I may be in etc. Anyway its always the middle aged to older guys (and the kids lol) that stop and point and the older guys cant work out what type of car it is and they walk up to it and look at the front, then the side then they go around the back and scratch their head when they see a toyota badge... It actually quite funny. To be honest though if I saw a 40-50 year old driving a nice supra that obviously was running decent power and modded nicely I would think he obviously has good taste- he didnt buy a poser z4 or something (you have to understand a decent late model stock supra still fetches 17-20 thousand pounds (when converted) over here.. a realy nice clean late model single will push 25 thousand on a good day so thes cars are still somewhat rare (maybe not so much in the big city's but out in the country city's). So my opinon is if it makes you happy drive it.... like you stole it!...lol

    hid's 55 watt

I ordered three sets and will be installing next week. can post some pics then.. I got 8000k fogs, 8000k main beams and 6000k high beams all in 55w (if the 8000k is too 'blue' on the road I may swap my mains for the 6000k and use the 8000k in my high beams until I get some replacement globes)... Also got relay harness for all three also just to be safe- I reccomend doing this as it takes the load off the standard wiring.
