Is your car plagued with warning messages on the dash and i-drive?. My daily is a e60 545i, and everytime I turn it on some warning message or another pops up. The latest is a restraints system fault, something to do with a passenger seat airbag sensor. When I enquired at my local dealer, i was quoted in the region of €800-1000 to fix.
Honestly I could've bought a car with what I've spent on manitenance. In my eyes it's nearly too clever for its own good, its always warning me about something, and to stop the warning is usually very costly.
I don't think I could recommend a friend buy an e60, unless it comes with a comprehensive dealer warrenty, or you enjoy forking out vast amounts of cash to your friendly BMW dealer.
Edit: Just to add my car is not a dog, I'm the second owner, and it has full main dealer history and has just hit 90k miles.
