Last week my supra developed a high idle problem once it was up to temp (sat at just over 1000rpm). Now this was only when warm, couple of times I tried it, it would idle as it should while cold/warming up but once it was upto temp it would idle at 1000rpm and feel rough. After having a wee nosey on here, yesterday I disconnected the battery to reset the ECU and since connecting it back up things are worse. Struggles to catch and looks like its now miss-firing. All I have done is disconnect the battery for couple of hours, reconnected and started. I let it run for briefly to see if it would clear in case it was the ECU re-learning but it never.
Also there have been no warning lights come on, however, I used the torque app yesterday to see if there were any error codes and there were 2 showing, P1346 and P1349 both of which seem to be faults with the VVT. Im not sure how accurate the app/error codes are or if these occured with the high idle or not (last time I checked a year or so ago it was clear).
Have I done something I shouldnt have? could there be a common problem causing both symptoms?
Any advice or thoughts are much appreciated.
