  1. Ok, raising boost will do the job then.. Mapper was worried how much boost the rods will hold, correct that 2jz-gte hold up to 30psi???
  2. Quick question, Supra is mapped on 570hp, @1,4bar... Like to get more power on stock engine (with hks cams 264) Last dragrace day is coming, next weekend thats why... Mapper would try methanol, But isn't it better to "just" raise the boost to 1,6/1,7bar? Or would you guys say, best way raise boost and methanol.. Will not exceed the ""save"" 650hp level... Methanol will he mixed with the fuel
  3. Old blocked radiator? Bad waterpump?
  4. A blanket with sfi 9.1 is also ok! No one a nice secondhand shield for sale? Titan doesn't make them anymore...
  5. Hello, Looking for a scattershield, Cause the car is getting into 11 seconds @ 1/4mile...
  6. Or buy a facelift 6speed slave-cinder, it has a smaller bore, so more clutch travel...
  7. Got Dba slotted with hawk hp+ pads, brakes very nice no fading when braking a lot. Next time I will take stock ones with Hp+ pads to check the difference...
  8. @Chris, It sure looks like hks cams Its says hks in the cast and t083 has been drilled in intake cam and t084 in the exhaust cam, wich says 264cams when I checked hks website... Bought them second hand, they look very fresh... I have to say I use wider feelerblades now, so they are as wide as the cam itself. First I used a bit smaller and then 0,06 was like 0,10... I have taken new feelerblades cause the small ones where like; 0,05-0,10-0,15-0,20 and the little bit wider ones where like; 0,02-0,03-0,04-0,06-0,08-0,10-0,12 ---- =cam -- =first feelerblade ---- =cam ---- =second feelerblade set
  9. Ok, I knew I should re-shim, but sometimes I see people who only had to re-shim 4-10 shims, not all 24, so I thought this was a bid strange...
  10. Cannot be its too cold outside?
  11. He there, just pre-fitted hks 264 cams, torqued as the manual says.. Intake cam clearence between 0,04-0,06mm , exhaust between 0,10-0,12mm. Should be intake 0,20 +/- 0,03 , exhaust 0,30 +/- 0,03, Is this normal that all shims need replacement? Had stock jspec noks in before...
  12. Ok thanks for the tip!
  13. He guys, anyone experience with a degree wheel to time the cams? Have seen some degree wheels at summit racing, 9,10,11inch, what is the ideal size? Or are there some traders here who sell the right one?
  14. I have the japspeed version, fits excellent! Very good welding!
  15. Had the same on bpu with my os-gikken in 5th gear it slips, clutch friction plates has worn out... Maybe it happens cause car has more resistance at high speed...
  16. Will be full engine build before I go bigger as the 264 ones, better fuelling, better clutch, better wallet Good to know that 272hks is also non-interference, feels a bit safer know
  17. Ok thanks for the tech info! Didn't thought that inlet and exhaust valves could hit eachother, but with that kind of lift its more logical... So 264 non-interferance , will feel a bit frightning to just turn one cam at a time...
  18. Hello, I'm installing the 264 cams... But when I want to check valve clearance, I have to turn the camshaft to check the other clearances. Is this possible without the the timingbelt on?? It has 9mm lift, does it become interferance? Checked the search, read somewhere valvelift has to be more then 10mm, but like to be shore... Any tip with installing would be nice, as its my first time...
  19. Ok, but will the jspec springs be the same as the springs on the bilstein suspension?
  20. Hi, just sold my d2 set and got a set of jspec shocks.. When I get bilsteindempers and mount al the jspec stuff on it, is this possible or is a compleet bilsteinshock also with other springs??
  21. Anyone knows what the difference are on these facelift headlights? They are both facelift, but has ther been an upgrade orso? 81111-1B240 (7-19965-1997) 81151-1B240 (7-19965-1997) 81111-1B241 (6-19977-1998) 81151-1B241 (6-19977-1998)
  22. Had this problem, changed everything, at the end it was the mastercylinder, problem was gone for a little while with the repair kit, better buy a new cylinder at once..
  23. I've got D2 on my car, before they where 1 year old, the 2 on the rear where leaking, got new ones for warranty! I don't mind its bumpy a bit, but it doesnt feel safe anymore at 250kmh+ speeds.. Really looking to get my some new billsteins..
