  1. Sorry no I am too busy currently with my newly born son to post pics and measure them in the hope you may buy them
  2. I think I have aleast 2 spare, also just bought 3 more z1's yesterday. I could be tempted to sell you some for a good offer
  3. thankyou guys, I''ll just use the stock one that will come in the full Toyota engine gasket set
  4. I have now sourced a nice replacement engine for my supra but will be giving it a refresh before fitting it. I will be changing the bottom end bearing and fitting ARP, Main, Big end and head studs together with a new oil pump. I am currently considering if I just refit a standard Toyota head Gasket or I go for a good aftermarket one. Note I dont want to fit a cheap metal cometic ect as I have seen many problems with them not sealing properly on other engines. I would either use a HKS or cosworth, but I am not sure if even need an uprated one as I was suprised to see the standard gasket is a steel multilayor type. I will hopefully be running just over 600 bhp when it is all back together. So the choice, replacement Toyota gasket, or good aftermarket gasket? Let me know your thoughts?
  5. I have been offered a good bottom end but still need a good usable cylinder head to get my supra back together. Can anyone help?
  6. Does anyone have a complete engine.
  7. Thankyou for the offer, but those bits have surviived, I am really after a complete engine minus turbos and inlet. Or a complete good condition bottom end
  8. After the 3 years and the 4th go at mapping on Friday at Protuner the boost control is now sorted, but my car decided it wanted to start rattling during the low speed mapping. The engine needs a minimum of new crank, bearings and other bits so I am considering a full long engine. Let me know what you have, midlands area is prefered.
  9. I'll take these if still available. Pm me payment details
  10. Surely if a new ECM is £1250 for a version 2, someone would pay £600??
  11. I am quite happy to do this also .ie buyer pay me £600 and I pay the repair cost, then ECM come straight from AEM to buyer
  12. The reason is I want the buyer to have 100% confidence the ECU works and not have any of the hassle I did. If I sell it coming direct from AEM, there can be no chance it wont work 100% when it arrives with the buyer. Series 2 ECM's are £1250 new, so the price of £600 reflects the "hassle" involved to any buyer. Just to confirm the entire board and connector will be replaced so you would get an effectively new ECU in an old case. All this hassle would envolve is one payment to me, then a phone call to ECM to pay the repair cost and give your postage details. The 2 weeks later the ECU would arrive. Far less hassle than I have had buying off a single poster If no one is interested I'l pay it mayself and keep it for a future project
  13. As some of you may have read, I bought an ECU on here from captachaos which arrived with me and didnt work. Just so that everyone know s what sort of person he is, he was not willing to help me with the reapir cost at all. In summery NEVER buy from him. Anyway back to the ECU, I needed an ECU to get my car running so bought a Syves from Ryan. I sent this ECU back to AEM and they have quoted to repair it $639 dollars. This repair is basically complete replacement of the circuit board so you will end up with very latest AEM ECU but in a version 1 casing. So I am asking a payment of £200, you then pay AEM $639 dollars (approx £400) + pstage, they will fix and update the ECM to latest spec, test it and send it direct to you. I comes with no other sensors, as these were already on my car and were used with the Syvecs. I think £600 is quite cheap for a latest spec AEM and just want rid of it now as have lost approx £900.
  14. Things must have moved on quite a bit then as the benchmarking work I did (admittedly 10 years ago) PACE were the only brazed aftermarket intercooler core supplier I could find. The thing I remember most form the testing is that the Visteon core of the time which was used on transit, was considerably better than any of the other aftermarket cores I tested. When they quote 20% improved heat rejection is that for an equilavent face area and depth with no increase in pressure drop across the core (both internal and external)? I know we used to quote a y% better than a competitior but it was because our cores were also x% thicker.
  15. Chris from the wind tunnel testing (i.e radiator in a sealed tunnel measuring heat rejection at different airflows) I did at an OEM radiator/oil cooler/ intercooler supplier, the bar and plate type intercoolers were alway inferior to the modern fin and tube style. Also in the race world cores are often made my gluing the bar and plates together, which i found to be inferior to a proper brazed core. Why do you say they are better? When you say Marston do you mean Serck Marston of Hayes (they use glue together type)
