I have always wanted to have ago on a track day, but been bit nervous as I don't know whether my skills are up to the job and would be gutted if I binned my Supe, think I need to start on a lower par something I wouldn't be bothered about if it smashed into a barrier or blew up.

Great day down at Oulton today, it was my introduction to track days not driving myself but sitting shotgun, what a big eye opener, Chris not only do you build a mean engine you can drive it mean too. This was my first time on a track even in a passenger seat and wow I mean I have sat passenger in some fast Skylines before but never one with a sequential gearbox and what a difference. I was pretty much using every muscle I had to stay in my seat. I also got a ride in a championship mx5 which was crazy in the corners not much top end grunt but carried speed well through corners (well when on the ground ). So another big thanks Chris for letting me come down and see what it's all about, think I've got a steep learning curve .

Did it stop when you pushed the clutch in ? if so I would agree with Jurgen on the release bearings as mine did this before my rebuild. Mine first started, when I started it up heard the rattle sounded roughly gearbox area stopped when clutch was pressed.

Quick question did the HKS traction removal kit work ie didn't give you any problems. Thanks Si

Basically I am starting to save up for a respray I want a good job doing , I am staying silver as I do not like it when under the bonnet is different colour (sorry just don't). So my friends are saying BMW silver which has a slight blue tint to it I do like it but would like to explore all avenues. Thanks for reading. Si

Are you keeping the stock bumper?, if so zun sport mesh and a carbon lip. Thats what I am doing anyhow .

I was expecting that steel prop to make an almighty bang when it let go, so surprised when it just twisted and stretched.

I have the CW uprated oem clutch, it's a nice clutch set up, feels tighter, better feel, but still forgiving round town.

If thats cool with you Chris, would love a run round in your skyline, I don't mind renting one I am sure your missus doesn't want my fat sweaty head in hers . Will bring the camera along see if I can get a nice shot of you tearing up the track . What time you hoping to be there from?.

Don't think I will give the Supra a run round tempting as it is, plus I ain't got a tin hat .

Well I am hoping the ones I have found are a jspec non vvti but off an auto and mines a 6 spd, just waiting for confirmation on this but I am guessing that would be ok?

I noticed someone else had ordered one and I did wonder if they were on here , he had 3 up now only one but he said he can make them in any weave so guessing he will be doing more.

Hey Rob, how much for it polished bud ? as said though won't be able to pay till end of month, also can you polish the runners ? Wez if Rob does have throttle body would you do deal on plenum and runners so long as they can be polished .
