  1. Can only think of the 2 usual suspects turbo seals or valve stem seals, worth a compression check as well.
  2. Was it a red light or yellowy orange one, if it's the red don't start it again get a professional to come look at her, hope it's the yellow one. Just read properly no oil, had you run it after your oil change or left it off the road when you did the change.
  3. Laamaporo just noticed your in Finland mate will have to see how much p&p is to yours I should of put in ad to UK for that price, I will check though tomorrow to see if it's not as bad as I am thinking it will be.
  4. Got a polished fan shroud cover in good condition, £35 delivered or would consider trading for polished battery cover. Thanks Si.
  5. I heard but don't know how true it is that when you smoke you bugger up a protective layer on your throat but the hot smoke kills of some germs so you don't really suffer with colds etc but when you quit your left for a period with no protective layer or hot smoke beating back the germs. This may be complete twaddle as you may just have that nasty flu bug going around as I smoke and I have it .
  6. Car in middle of 2 lanes for Preston (Focus I think ) facing wrong way, more cars involved but on hard shoulder. Theres a lot of debris as well spilling onto 3 of the 4 lanes. From what I would guess someone has been in third lane (focus) realised they dont want to go to Bolton they want to go to Preston cut across misjudged, clipped another car gone into spin and another car has hit it in the confusion, as it looked slightly bent in the middle. That or a blow out but I like a bit of controversy. Seriously hope everyones ok and no fatals .
  7. I used to have the fuel cut come in before my rebuild don't think it ever gave me the red triangle could be wired different I suppose, but the fuel cut does do what you said, it almost feels like you hit a brick wall but keep moving.
  8. Cool will have to wait till this eve as I am working in London on a photo shoot with Linda Bellingham lol, will be back in Manchester tonight so will find it then, if I remember correctly his name is Beyer Fiedel, it seems a bit dodgy at first but I sent him a bank transfer of I think €90 and they were with me just over a week later. So it is save.
  9. I can give you the email of a German fellow who works at TTE who can supply new ones well he could mid last year maybe worth a shot will dig out his email if you want.
  10. Thanks for the replys gents apparently all ECU's were checked Thor replaced them with ones they had and no change. My next plan was to try some second hand sensors and I can garuantee mine will be stuck and I will have to destroy them to get them out. Can I just unplug the old sensors and plug the new one in with out removing the old ones from the hub just to see if it resolves the problem before I start hacking at the old sensors?
  11. Now I know this has been covered before but never really found a resolve, basically sometime the abs light pops on and the yellow trac light us always flashing. The car got sent to Thor racing they said I had a code 22 and 33, 22 is a open short in solenoid of abs unit and 33 was a rear right wheel sensor. They tested the wheel sensor said it says it's working it pulsing. They also replaced the abs unit. They also checked ecu's throttle sensors and speed delimiters to no avail. So can anyone shed some light can a wheel sensor still pulse but throw up a error code? Please help not so arsed about getting the traction control going again but don't want the abs light popping up when it goes for a MoT . Many Thanks Si
  12. Cool mate thanks for the heads up, sent him a pm so fingers crossed .
  13. Hey Steveo how could I forget to thank you for sorting my stubby aerial big thanks mate will have to get a better piccy up to show it off more.
  14. Looking for a polished battery cover can pay or have a polished fan shroud cover if anyone is interested in swapping. Thanks Si
  15. Hi mate have a polished one for an auto TT, was going to fit but mine is a 6 speed and are slightly different. Yours for the right price .

  17. Hey Havard sorry about the name error, their is another silver one kicking around these parts from what I can tell from hearing it he's an auto. Many thanks to everyone for the kind words to my car .
  18. What can I say iphone 3gs cam it aint that good . Should be no excuse really as I work in the photography industry.
  19. Hey Harvard Westhoughton has a leisure center ?!? never knew haha maybe I'll see you in the pub after the gym .
  20. Hi thanks for the warm welcome, heres some pics not great and only got half my HKS hard pipe kit on but gives you an idea. .
  21. Hi to all, my name is Simon I live in Westhoughton near Bolton owned my car since 2005. I have been a unpaid member here for quite a while (sorry), finally thought I should pay my dues as this site has helped me out a lot. Had dealings with a few members on here and they have all been top fellas to deal with, received items quickly and well packaged. So big thanks to mitchell9006, Keron and Robsheffield. Right my car, it's an original , 93 jspec TT 6 speed, silver, exterior is pretty standard other than the new Lexus GS300 sports alloys. The engine has recently been rebuilt by Mr Chris Wilson who has been a god send to me. I had the rebuild as it is an old car now not done major mileage 75,000 but it puts my mind at ease. Chris did a lot of work totally stripping the engine, as he had it popped open I thought it rude not to add some extra bits. Heres whats been changed for new OEM or better. Oil pump Water pump Radiator New OEM Rods APR rod bolts New bearings Weisco Pistons All new gaskets HKS cams 255/265 (I think) Turbo Rebuild Full Decat Coil packs CW Uprated OEM clutch Flywheel Assembly And lots of other parts were changed to many to mention really. The block was finished off in a nice Massey Ferguson red . Got a bit of nice engine dress through Mitchell9006 and Whifbitz. Engine dressed up with HKS hard pipe kit, carbon spark plug cover, billet rad clamps APR slam panel all from paul at Whifbitz. Lovely chromed battery clamp, fuse box cover and suspension top rings from Mitchell9006 at Darnley autoworks. This year for me is to get an on going abs traction control problem sorted the car was at Thor racing over Xmas but they couldn't work it out. So look out for a few tech question threads popping up from me. Also respray same colour maybe some body kit bits but just a maybe at mo also retrim as leather is starting to look tired and it's blue and needs changing to black with some colour just in stitch and piping. Well thats me and my car thanks for reading sorry it's a bit of a long winded hello. Just one more very big Thank You to Chris Wilson as he has helped me out many times cheers mate and get well soon.
  22. Okay sorry that was a juvenile and silly post and apologies to Axle have taken the test through ROSPA, and I know looking at it, it does sound silly talking of racing and sensible driving in the same breath, but I do enjoy driving fast as long as the road isn't too busy so thats why I said the bottle it comment and again sorry.
  23. Good for me what are you on mate. Out of interest do a search.
