  1. Being LHD makes it a little more likely to be a genuine one. It's very hard to tell though, as externally they're almost exactly identical. Stunning car non the less that Alfa V6 engined replica on Top gear sounded amazing
  2. All the south Africa Golfs (Citi Golf over there) are 5 doors the interiors are weird though, look just like a modern Polo. They aren't great in accidents, though I imagine they're better than their French counterparts (205s/AXs are horrific in crashes) that's what the cage is for As for the pace, mine is circa 160hp, Weighs less than a ton, has a short ratio box and has a fair amount of chassis work. I had some fun with a Z4 M roadster in the lakes last year, and on the twisties I was well away from him
  3. 9 months on and she's back She's been sitting in my garage waiting for me to get the horn working. Still can't find the issue, so I'm going to start from scratch Pulled her out of hibernation today, and shes looking a little worse for wear, nothing major though. I've decided to fit the above stereo in the Supra, the Golf is going to get a new lease of life as a track car. Will be looking to source a cage and some bucket seats/harnesses before long Unfortunately, this means that when i do the engine transplant on the Supra, Im going to have to buy something else as a run around. No doubt something else highly impractical
  4. Pretty good, considering it's a 3.4. My old 3.0 GT35R single would do mid 30s on a very steady run. I'd be more interested on how much it uses on WOT
  5. Looks more like a WW2 fighter plane. Powered by a Supercharged Merc V12, so I'm sure it sounds like one too More here
  6. I think you should write a book entitled 'The world through Chris Wilsons eyes'
  7. Actually, I think a Ridox front could look amazing on that. I reckon Top secret would be too round to go with the skirts.
  8. I'd rather put a bit more towards a brand nepw Syvecs. £1400 for a second hand ecu is extortionate (I'm aware certain motecs go for this figure, but they're overkill on most cars anyway)
  9. Okay, I've some pics now. I had to fit them in the car, as I discovered the spare stock cloth seats I have are missing belt buckles Drivers seat: Please note, the bolsters look worse than usual, as I've pushed the fabric in to accentuate where they've collapsed. Please remember there's no wear etc to the bolsters. This is the passenger seat: Replacement bolsters: The only wear showing on these seats is a small amount of bobbling on the seat bases/lower backs. You can buy a cheap machine for removing these. I've tested the runners etc now they're in the car, these function perfectly.
  10. Are you fitting facelift lights too? IMO they make a massive difference on Red and Silver cars.
  11. The P1 is definately more special, but neither car will seem reliable next to a well maintained Supra. personally I'd rather go for something a little softer and more reliable for a run around ( Honda Accord type R springs to mind)
  12. I seem to remember Paul from Whifbitz saying he kept them in stock
  13. A fairly good compromise would be a V8 conversion from a soarer or Ls. If you fit it yourself it can be very cheap, while offering a bit more performance (they're a little bit more powerful than an NA engine, while also being lighter) they also have more torque, and arguably a better soundtrack. You can pick up a whole donor car for under £500 with some persistence. You'd get all that back too by selling other parts of it off. Plus, if you find the right Ls, you could end up with a 4-pot brake conversion too
  14. Can't see any pics except the profile pic.
  15. Yes please always in for pics of black uk specs
  16. They've only recently displayed their R35 GTR, so I suspect they are.
  17. All sorts of innovative things going on there Especially liking the harness connectors through the bulkhead.
  18. Also, "where's the boot release?" or "what's this red button?"
  19. No, but if the uk bonnet is White I'd buy it off you so you had more funds to buy a new one
